The new Lord Mayor of Amber City, Her Royal Highness Zariya al'Bariman, has appointed a new sewer crew to clean and maintain the extensive sewer system of the city. Not only will the sewers be properly maintained from here on out, but also a new system of drains will be installed where needed.
"This is a major concern for the citizens of the city," said the Lord Mayor's press secretary. "With the current drain system, it's possible that the city streets could flood, causing untold amounts of damage to homes and businesses alike. The new drains should counter that, minimizing the concern."
It should also put to rest the spat between the former Lord Mayor Breyd and Princess Scherazade concerning the sewers. At one point, Princess Scherazade was intent on importing monsters to eat the waste of the people of Amber, although this plan was never seriously considered by the former Lord Mayor's office.
The new Sewer and Drainage Manager William York had this to say about the scheme, "Importing something to eat shit? That sounds like something for His Royal Highness Rory to do, at least that's what I heard. Silly plan." He went on to say that "the citizens of the city shouldn't worry about anything like that while I'm in c-charge of the drains. A little bit of planning and some hard work is all it takes."
