(Tanith - HBC) A good priest of the Church of Amber (Theobald) was murdered in his parish and his body multilated in Ardor near Greater Hathor. The provisional government was shocked and appalled though the incident did not happen in Hathor territory.
Archprelate Theobald's office said the Church of Amber is in deep mourning for its brother and asks that no one take revenge on anyone for this murder and to work together to end poverty and sorrow in the Ardor continent.
King Finndo was incenced at the murder of the priest and gave his condolences to his friend and old tutor Theobald who was seen weeping in his Cathedral in Yggport. King Finndo issued a 500,000 gold piece reward for the apprehension of the murderers alive.
King Oberon's office said that Finndo has no authority in Amber as Crown Prince. "A private prince issuing a bounty from his pet warped patterns has no authority in Amber's subject states. We regret the violence in Ardor but His Majesty's Office reminds all that the so called Church of Amber has no legal status under King Oberon since the Divorce of Cymnea."
Legal experts from Suhuyways pointed out that Oberon cannot ban the Church of Amber himself as he swore to not do so at his Coronation and at the Treaty of Amber where Oberon agreed with Suhuy and Swavyille tp allow Finndo to retain the title Crown Prince minus succession rights while ending the Divorce War. Oberon circumvents the law by allowing his sons and wives to harrass the Church of Amber and them to make ultra vires declarations banning the church.
Said Prince Julian of Amber, "Too bad they didn't burn the damned chaos priest. They are all traitors and work for the Great Powers Council. We know Rory is hiring them because he's a redheaded Brandite traitor in pay from Suhuy but Dad dotes on the worthless little shit. Those redheads stick together."
Lord Bances is trumpeting the murder calling it the work of the Rilgaite fanatics that dominate Amber. "We need to root it out and restore the Finndo Doctrine and establish GPC mandate over Amber's subject states. Woe to Caine! Woe to Oberon! Woe to the people of Amber who refuse to follow their rightful sovereign!"
