(Amber City) A funeral procession for Amber's fallen men, both military and civilian, marched through the streets of the city today, escorted by a full honor guard. The fallen men-at-arms were killed during a raid on the city of Amber just two days ago, along with several civilian mages who were working with the Lord Mayor.
The fallen were buried in a cemetary not far from the destruction. The Lord Mayor Zariya al'Bariman attended the funeral, and gave a eulogy. Quoted from that eulogy, "These men, citizens of our fair country and city, died at their posts. Many of them were not from Amber originally, but loved our country all the same. They lived for the honor of Amber, and, indeed, died in honor."
After asking for a moment of silence to remember and honor the dead, the Lord Mayor went on to say that the attacks were instigated by Garnath and the infamous Rowan the Mrr. "We shall not let this raid be forgotten as a footnote in a history book," the Mayor finished.
Later that afternoon, plans from the Mayor's Office were announced to the public to make the site of the attack a memorial park to remember these men and the many others that have died in Amber's service.
