(Haven City) In front of the Haven House of Commons, Prime Minister Lord Ian Holland denounces Zariya for the unilateral hostage taking of Haven Citizens and her threat to judicially murder them if she is not paid ransom.
"This is deplorable." Ian Holland says as orders went out to arrest ten times the members of Amber citizens who did not swear allegiance to Queen Jasra,"We are going to arrest Amber spies as well. The Mecks have been grousing for us to arrest them for years."
Haven's common response is to arrest or retaliate ten fold to any move made against it.
Haven has also laid a complaint to the GPC calling on sanctions on Amber to be reinstated pending the recent state sponsored terrorism. In a similar move, Zariya seized Rolandae and Neuvo Sangre hostages. Both are the only other Great Powers besides Thelbane to have relations with Amber. All other Great Powers refuse to even have relations with Amber.
"It seems that the radicals are in control of much of Amber in a power struggle," speculated Lord Holland," And Zariya is the worst of them. She is using desert Justice which I hate on people in Amber and is soon going to be banning kites, shorts, ties and stuffed animals in accordance with the savage beliefs of these people. She is threatening to amputate limbs with scimitars."
"I am glad she does not have oil or there would be another 1973 oil embargo," Lord Badger angrily hissed in the front benches.
Queen Jasra the titular of Amber called on GPC to finally unite and have a crusade to depose Oberon and remove Amber from Canaanite control. She called for support for the sanctions and for them to be upgraded to an embargo.
