Friends may come and go, but enemies accumulate.
            --Thomas Jones

(NOTE: Before you go any further, please keep in mind that this is the order in which I received them...so if some of this doesn't make much sense, please forgive me. At one point in here, Alexis gives Stephen a long look, then enters the room. ;) Like I said, the entrances are presented here in the order that I got them. If someone reacted to something, it was also put in here. This was a long, long thread and hard to keep track of. With that in mind, enjoy.)

The main hallway leading into the Great Hall is composed of false arches and beamed ceilings that hint at a massive works yet unfinished. There are striking similarities to this and Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. The pillars have strange creatures and figures out of Amber's mythology and history that no one has spoken about.

The floors are a deep dark granite flagstone, polished and shining in their rustic splendor. The walls are white marble with streaks of bluish grey. There are large colourful tapestries along the walls with sconces with magical and firey torches in place. The soft light is similar to that of sunlight in the shade. There are many doorways however the one with the red carpet leads in a straight line from the entrance to the Great Hall.

The front doors leading to the Great Hall are fifteen feet high and eight feet wide. They are of a dark citrus wood that is both very rare and extremely beautiful. The light citrus wood became extinct on Earth Prime around the time of the 3rd Century after climate changes in North Africa. The dark was never on that world. The wood naturally had in it, designs of a unicorn dexter rampant that is bisected when the door opens or shuts.

Some of a tapestries are very new. Many of older ones are still in Suhuy's, Jasra's and Kelric's treasurehouses.

There is one where Dworkin and the Unicorn compose the book of the unicorn. Another has Bariman City sinking in the Grand Bahama banks. There is a tapesty honouring all of Oberon's wives: Cymnea, Faeilla, Clarissa, Rilga, Dybele, Harla, Paulette and Mirienna. Each tapestry has a crown consort on their head.

No weapons are in the hall. Except by the guardsmen.

However armed guards stand in full plate armour at attention at each of the alcoves every ten feet armed with a large pike and shield with the unicorn emblem on it. They have a broadsword sheathed in their hilt. They are wearing jupons over the amour, also with the unicorn.

A quick glance indicates that they are the Royal Gentlemen of the Guard who are one of Oberon's many loyal regiments that vanished from Amber after the Battle of Patternfall.

As you would approach the Great Hall, a couple of the doormen in full livery would hop to attention and pull the great massive doors wide open.....

The trumpets blare, the other brasses blow, the kettle drums start deeply beating with a thunder that would make a Sultan green with envy, cymbals clanging and the harpist playing a lively tune.

Oberon arrives from his Robing Room in a fine green surcoat and mantle and hose with vast robes of royal purple with ermine trim. The Great Crown of Amber sits on his head as he walks directly to his throne.

Oberon has on pointed slippers similar to what was popular around 1440. They too, are green. He has on his index finger of his right hand, his large unicorn signet ring.

As he advances, behind him is a large heroic realistic banner of a white unicorn on green dexter that is almost 50 feet square and covers much of the wall behind him.

Oberon's reddish hair seems to be without the grey that he had when you met with him earlier. His green eyes seem alive and he is very vigourous.

The whole court is on their feet in a massive rush to not be seen seated when he enters.

Ignoring the lot of them, Oberon goes and then sits himself down on his throne.

"Where is the pillow?" Oberon calls out annoyed. "This damned piece of rock gave me a fistulla last time I sat on it regularly." he bellows as a servant rushes forward.

Oberon shakes the pillow carefully and rips at it a bit as a dagger contraption falls out onto the marble floor. He kicks it across into the side wall where it snaps and shoves a nasty gash into the wall.

Oberon shakes the pillow some more....

Out falls a little white snake which he steps on with his right foot firmly. Only the head is not crushed. He kicks it to a servant in annoyance.

            The pillow is shaken again....

            Nothing happens.

Then Oberon throws it on his throne and sits on it. Very hard.

            There is a scream.

            Oberon sits harder.

            Another scream.

Oberon yawns. "Guards, interrogate and torture the nanoassassin after court." He says as he lets out a loud gust of wind. "As Ben Franklin says,' Fart proudly.'" Oberon chortles.

"Kolvirii do everything in threes" Oberon adds as an after thought.

"You!" Oberon then shifts in his seat causing another shreik and points to a squire,"Boy tell the young Princes and Princesses they may come in, I prefer if my sons and daughters wait this time."

He sighs audibly to the Court,"We have a lot of work to do. Everytime I go away for a short break and leave the keys to the castle to the teenagers, they trash the whole kingdom." he sighs loudly and claps his hands.

            Sounds:

There is a sudden hushed sound as the younger Princesses and Princes start entering the room through the main door.

The hush is that of several hundred courtiers, court officials, and ladies of the court and other honoured guests, friendly foreign kings and queens and ambassadors. The large chamber is huge and in the silence, the cavernous sound like a massive reverberating echo room.

The only sound to break the silence and the incidental announcer of a person and their status is a red haired wild haired woman who is strumming away on a harp on a large evergreen coloured pillow. Her intensity as she sings Kellswater is magnificent. Hidden on the second story landing in a musician's loft is a small musical ensemble to accompany her and play other musics for the royal feast after Court.

            Smells:

The smell of wool on humanity is the strongest odour that dominates the room. It is not offensive but it is discernable. People from polyester societies may break out in a rash. :) The other smells pervading the senses is cinnamon that seems to be coming from the many sconces and magical light sources throughout the castle. As it is night, you strangely can see the full moon over Kolvir through the large ceiling windows that cover the centre half of the Great Hall. Other smells that creep in, are the fumes emanating from the kitchen as food preparation has entered its concluding stages so that the Court can dine. Roast beef seems to be the main odour coming from the kitchen area.

            Sights:

To quote the song from Camelot...

"The candles of the court, they never burned as bright."

The Oberon candles seem to produce an effect that resembles daylight without a sun. The candles are bright but they do not seem to hurt the eyes as the light seems to be diffused across the room. The angstrom readings would appear to the scientifically inclined seems to match, the day light in the city.

The court officials are in splendid robes with the lesser pages and servants in livery of the white unicorn dexter on vert. Many staves, keys, wands and chains of office have come out of storage or museums and have been polished to bright gold or bright brass.

The massive Great Hall is long and huge. Great tapesties and swords and weapons of war hang on the high walls outside of reach. At the highest of the windowed ceilings it reaches upward in a gothic height of over 60 feet. The hall is rectangular: 100 feet by 150 feet. The walls are of green veined white marble.

In one corner with a full guard of honour is a statue of A unicorn. Examination proves it to be not female.

On the west wall is a huge collection of the shields of over 500 Gold Circle counties. Many are since destroyed in the wars of Rolandae and of the interregnum. However Oberon ordered everyone restored and put up proudly on display. Even destroyed Kashfa.

The great Amber stone throne of the Sovereign is present in the far end of the room. There is a long bright green rug that leads from ten feet away from the throne to the entrance. Several rows of chairs are reserved at the front of the crowd at court. There is a mysterious face on the backside of the throne which has not been identified though reports have been throughout the centuries that the carving has shown to come to life.

There is a red carpet leading from a side door, where Oberon has his Robing Room to the actual throne. Presumably it is Oberon's carpet.

A tall black haired elf walks into the Great Hall from a side door and not the main door.

The Crier calls out, "His Most Serene Highness, Prince Xanthus of Syth of the House of Feanor! Court Magician to His Majesty."

Xanthus ambles down the aisles ignoring the carpets and will glance over the young princes and princesses who have arrived. He counts them like a farmer counts sheep or a scrutineer selects voters. He counts them once more and mutters to himself in some strange elven tongue.

The elf archsorcerer then goes up to the musician's loft where an ornate wooden chair is placed is placed for him to sit and observe Court. His position much like a Royal Box at the Opera. He summons a servant over and without paying attention to the ears present says,"I see that fool Chantis forgot to place a chair for my sister. See to it immediately, Lackey!"

There is a few minutes later, a fine regal throne like wooden chair with a crown at the top of it, hauled over to the right of the throne and set down there.

Xanthus waves his hands, scanning the chair at a distance and is in great effort as sweat forms at his brow as he focuses and concentrates and there is a sudden shudder in the air... and then he smiles.

Once his work is done, the sorcerer will then sit down on his own not too shabby chair and watches.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Constantine of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Most Serene Prince of the Outerlands." the servant then says after a deep breath and a nod from Oberon.

Constantine gulps as his eyes widen with alarm.

As he enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to him.

Young Constantine diBenedetti arrives alone, eyes darting left and right in equal measures of wonder and apprehension. He is dressed in a manner typical of the Amber court of the last century, his colors of deep blue and black presented in a stark chiaroscuro on his doublet and hose. He grasps a pair of gloves in hands that seem in constant motion.

The redheaded Constantine is met by a squire who is wearing full livery. "Your Highness, I am to show you to your chair."

"Yes," mutters the young prince. "My chair. Right away."

The squire is nearly trampled by Constantine in his eagerness to get to his seat.

He finds his seat is beside none other than Dunstree with an empty chair beside him

Constantine takes his seat and immediately grabs a sweating flagon of water.

A tall, dusky skinned woman [Zariya] enters, bearing herself proudly. Her long black hair is loose around her shoulders, framing a severe looking face. The sharp cheekbones and jutting jaw is softened somewhat by a few touches of make-up here and there. She is wearing a loose, sleeveless, flowing gown fire red in color. Adorning her wrists are several golden bracelets that clang softly against each other as she moves. Around her neck is a simple golden necklace, with a pendant dangling from it. The pendant portrays a brown wyvern holding a green flowering vine in it's beak. Her slippers move softly across the floor, barely peeking out from the edge of the dress.

A lady in waiting curtsies to her properly and low,"Your Royal Highness." The lady then glares at any of the men who are too adoring of the racy outfit.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Zariya of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Princess Zariya is the daughter of His Royal Highness, Prince Caine of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

"As with Enoch and Bishop, Her Royal Highness is also Princess of Aquitania." the announcer remarks further.

Zariya frowns very slightly at that, and her eyes seek out Enoch and Bishop, looking them over quickly.

The lady in waiting escorts Zariya to the chair beside her cousin Mara and an empty chair.

She follows the lady in waiting quietly and gracefully. To Oberon, she inclines her head and smiles warmly at him. To Mara, she almost smiles, though it's not nearly as warm as the one before--the sort reserved for politeness to strangers. She seats herself gracefully, crossing her legs at the ankles and resting her hands in her lap.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Liam of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Liam is the son of PRINCE Random of Amber and Texorami." the Announcer balls out loudly.

As he enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to him.

Liam arrives in formal court dress suitable for the current styles of Amber. His tunic is a deep green emproidered with black and gold celtic knot work. In the center is a large golden hawk looking as though pouncing upon it's prey. He wears a black hat, reminiscent of 18th century France with a large black plume. His boots and gloves are black leather.

Liam removes his hat and gloves before entering the hall, placing the gloves in the hat and tucking it under his arm.

His hair is sandy blonde and cut short. His eyes are the color of jade. He stands at 5'10" and looks to weigh around 170 lbs.

A courtier in an old white wig bows slightly to Liam,"Your Highness, May I escort you to your chair?"

Liam smiles and returns the slight bow, "Indeed you may my good man. Lead the way."

The courtier bows once more, ever so circumspect in his manners and will lead Prince Liam to a chair that is empty, Enoch is sitting to the left of it with the chair to the right still empty.

Laszlo is a blond haired man with green eyes, a shade under six foot tall. He walks very upright, perhaps because of the tight-fitting black trousers and jacket, the polished gold buttons gleaming in a tidy row up the front. The jacket is done up to the neck, the stiff collar giving only the hint of a white shirt beneath. The style owes more to late Victorian Europe than Amber. He must like the sound of his booted heels on the floor, since he seems to be doing a lot of pacing.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Laszlo of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Lazslo is the son of Her Royal Highness, Princess Florimel of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

As he enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to him.

A young page boy goes up to him and says,"Your Highness, I will escort you to your seat." he says as he begins to lead him down the green carpet to his seat.

"Thank you," Laszlo says, looking about him. He strides to his seat and drops in it, folding his arms across his lap.

He finds Laszlo is seated beside Liam in the chair....

Oberon looks and says to the page boy,"Put George to the right of him. Let's put the blonds all together." he chuckles from his throne.

Dunstree is stocky, balding and has a beard. (Aspriing Trump artists -- I have a pic of David Ogden Stiers to use as reference). He is dressed simply - tunic, trousers, etc, of modest materials. No silk or jewelry on him. His clothes have been recently cleaned. He looks bemused at the circumstances of pomp surrounding him. Whenever anyone calls him "Prince" or "Your Highness" he smiles as if going along with the joke.

"Remember to bow very deeply to the throne." the servant bids Dunstree to do.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Dunstree of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

Dunstree raises an eyebrow at that last. 'Learn something new every day,' he silently muses as he keeps his face formally composed.

As he enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to him.

A servant gently whispers loudly to Dunstree. "One should acknowledge gracefully the reaction of the court and slowly courtly though not too condescendingly advance to the Throne."

Dunstree nods, continuing to play the role he's been cast in. He salutes the soldiers, with the manner of one who was a soldier himself. Otherwise, he carries himself as a monk going through rituals, smiling and nodding at everyone to acknowledge them. Occasionally, through the long line, his face betrays the fact that he feels a bit silly.

"Stand up Straight, Your Highness," the servant quietly says to Dunstree, "Or people will think you are Balaam and hide their backs from you. Rumour says he cast a terrible hex making Maid Abigail stark raving mad."

Dunstree wasn't aware he was slouching, but he straightens.

            The servant nods in appreciation.

Dunstree bows deeply, hands pressed together. "May you and your subjects enjoy good health and long life, King Oberon."

Oberon looks at him and chuckles, "With your help Grandson, so they shall."

Dunstree smiles back. Well, so far, so good.

Oberon nods and waves him off since he is not talking to every grandchild at this time.

Dunstree finds himself seated beside Rory and a blank chair still to be filled.

As you would approach the Great Hall, a couple of the doormen in full livery would hop to attention and pull the great massive doors wide open.....

A small woman with short jet black hair, coal black eyes and a milky white complexion approaches the doormen. She is wearing a long white dress. It has short puffed sleeves and a rounded scooped neck. On the sleeves, neckline and hem is edged with a pink ribbon. Around her neck is a pink ribboned choker with a tiny gold anchor attached to it.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Jada of Amber, Granddaughter of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

As she enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to her.

A lady in waiting curtsies to Jada carefully,"Your Royal Highness, May I escort you to your seat?" she asks politely

Jada is led down the green carpet to the front row of the court facing the throne. She then is seated beside Jake.

Jada sits down and smiles tenatively at Jared. "Hello." She says quietly

            "Greetings, M'lady." Jake replies.

Jared looks up with mild interest at this announcement and tries to make eye contact with this newly found sister. "Jada, Jake, Jessa, Jared... I think I'm out of position," he says quietly to Zariya and Jessa, who sit beside him.

"Are you making fun of my name?" She asks Jake

Jessa actually quietly giggles, "I don't think we should switch seats. I think we were put here for a reason."

Jared leans forward and toward Jada. "Not at all, newly found sister, simply noting the plethora of names beginning with 'J'." He smiles in a friendly way.

"Perhaps it's a conspiracy by our parents..." Jake says with a slight smile.

Jessa nods, "or grandfather." She smiles at Jake, "did I hear you introduced as Bley's son?"

"That's what they tell me. I only recently found out during my interview with Oberon. To my knowledge, I've never actually met the man." Jake says it matter of factly...

"Neither have I." Jada says moodily. "I don't think mine even likes water."

Jakes eyes suddenly go wide as he remembers who Jessa's father is. "Sister! Please forgive me for not noticing sooner. A lot has been happening. Do you know our father well?"

Jessa smiles, nodding yes. "When he had the time, he raised me. If he didn't have time he made sure I was in the best schools."

            Jada shudders. "Schools, yuck!"

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Rory of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"And contrary to propaganda, Prince Rory is NOT a pirate, but a Privateer." the announcer bawls out.

As he enters the nearest of the soldiers lift up their halberts in salute and the nearest courtiers, nobles, officials and foreign dignitaries doff their caps and bow while the ladies' curtsey to him.

Rory strides down the main hallway. There's a smile on his face, a spring in his step, and an odiferous cloud of cigar smoke wreathing his head. He looks at the doors ahead, looks at his cigar and frowns. "Sure, shouldn't I have started this thing a bit earier?" he mutters. With a shrug, he knocks the ash off, and hides the stub of the cigar behind a column for later retrieval.

A fussy looking skinny servant, in fact you recognize it is Balaam with his natural tonsure polished to a shine making his neck look like blowing bubble gum, comes up to you.

In a very quiet voice, straining to be subtle and polite,"Would you please NOT smoke." the fussy hunchbacked man hisses at Rory.

"Would you please take a long walk off a short pier," Rory says amicably, not even bothering to look at the man.

The sour looking hunchbacked man mutters a few imprecations under his breath, including,"May your limbs drop off from your body, one digit at a time, you redheaded ape..." However he is bowing and making supplications at the time and is speaking so softly that few can hear him except Rory.

"Sure, aren't I every bit as glad to see you as you are to see me?" Rory says, waving him off.

Balaam scuttles off submissively though as he nears the door he makes nasty big eyed looks at Rory's back that does not do Balaam justice.

"Sure, lads, would you be good enough to open the doors for me," he says as he passes the double doors, and walks through .

The doors are held by guards as Balaam is frustrated as you walk away from him. He clenches his fists futilely and mutters dark imprecations as he is ignored and soon to be forgotten except as a footnote to Court history.

His boots clack on the marble floor as he walks in, his gait rolling slightly - sure, but hasn't he spent enough time on ship to justify walking in doing a hornpipe if he desired? His pale face and ginger-colored hair stands out against the somber black and gray of his tunic and trousers, relieved only by the golden yellow trim at the shoulders and cuffs.

A man at arms stands at attention,"Sir, May I show you to your chair, Sir?"

"Ah, you may, you may," Rory replied. "But what's important is whether you can, eh?"

The man at arms looks somewhat confused at the whimsical statement and seats him in between Alexis and Alexis in the front row.

A tall, thin man, wiry and dark, with his long black hair in a ponytail walks in. His grey eyes are almost dead -- rarely moving at all. He is dressed in black silk, elaborate but cut for ease of movement, and there is a small, ebon blade on one hip and a black pistol crossbow on the other. His tall, black boots make a distinct clack as he walks, tilted slightly forward, like a man used to walking on the deck of a ship.

As you would approach the Great Hall, a couple of the doormen in full livery would hop to attention and pull the great massive doors wide open.....

Stephen walks in, 6'2", very short white blonde hair, and neat small beard, and one thin braid in back. His skin is weathered and tan, his eyes a dark, cold blue. His nose looks to have been broken at least once. He looks to be at least in his thirties. (Imagine Marc Hammil of about ten years ago). He is garbed in proper Edwardian era evening attire (or whatever the time is), including tailed coat, cummerbund, spats, sash, Virtually all is black, in various textures of fabric, none inappropriate. The exceptions are the tie, cummerbund, and sash, all white. The single item of color is a small crimson flower in his left lapel.

He proceeds on into the court hall, glancing about with interest. He seems more intent on the architecture than the occupants, but notices and acknowledges them as well (if eye contact is made). His expression is neutral, and his pace unhurried.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Stephen of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Stephen is the son of Her Royal Highness, Princess Fiona of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

He nods his thanks to the usher, and as he comes to the front, he will turn to face Oberon, and give a rather modern style bow (from the waist, legs straight, eyes maintaining contact). As he turns to take his seat, he gives a slight sketch of a bow toward Alexis, then sits.

As he comes in, there is a gentleman usher in royal livery who will escort him to the front of the room beside Alexis and the aisle.

Compared to Rory, Stephen rates a slightly longer glance out of the corner of an eye from Alexis. She doesn't turn her head, but after a moment she resumes looking forward. (no methane on that shoulder however)

A tall large boned woman pauses at the door and surveys the room. She stands about 6'2" (1.9m) and has black hair cut in a pageboy cut, just past the jaw. Soft blue eyes, she takes in everyone before taking handfuls of her gown and stepping in. Ice blue silk brocade, overshot with white and delicate traceries of silver, a full skirt below a square necked bodice and some gathering across the front, with an empire waist. Full sleeves to the elbow, fitted to the wrist. An antique locket rides close around her throat on a ribbon, and drop pearl earrings finish the ensemble. With grace and poise, Alexis enters.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Alexis of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Princess Alexis is the daughter of His Royal Highness, Prince Gerard of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

Alexis steps into the room, pauses as the announcer speaks, looks to both sides slightly and nods slightly, and proceeds...

A lady in waiting curtsies to her and wordlessly will escort her to her chair along the green carpet.

A slight nod to the woman as she curtseys, and Alexis follows to her chair, where she sits gracefully with a swish of silk, with a most patient air.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Enoch of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Crown Prince of Aquitania"

"Prince Enoch is the son of His Royal Highness, the Prince Caine of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

The man at arms comes back and stiffly escorts Enoch to the chair beside Constantine.

Bishopw entered with grace, slight arrogance, and curious eyes.

The light reflected off his raven black hair, giving it a purple discolor. It was cut short and flat. His small nose and ears conformed well with his angular face, and narrow eyebrows crowned his dark eyes. His tanned skin was rough and weathered, but healthy and rugged. While it was indeterminable to know his real age, he looked to be late-20's or early 30's.

Bishop wore a purple silk shirt underneath his black jacket (with tails) and slacks. A small brooch of a unicorn with three rings around the horn hung at his left lapel. It glimmered in the light and appeared to be made of diamond and Amber. His alligator skin boots clicked against the stone floor.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Bishop of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Bishop is the son of His Royal Highness, Prince Caine of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

The Announcer adds carefully,"Prince Bishop is named Bishop and it is not an ecclesiastic title."

Bishop surveyed his surrounding with narrow eyes, but with a gentle grin. When his eyes meet Oberon's, he bowed low and respectfully.

A servant will then lead Bishop to sit beside a blank chair set aside for the still absent Logen and another empty chair. On the other side of Logen is George.

Bishop followed the servant, three steps behind and to the left. He continued to peers about him, staring at all the different faces. His eyes were still narrow.

Mara arrives wearing a 30's style claret silk velvet dress of a dark green color that matches her eyes and flatters her slim figure. Her red-black hair sports a smooth waved perm, the ends falling just below her jaw line and contrasting with her fair skin. High heeled shoes with ankle straps slightly increase her medium height. She pauses at the entrance, taking in the room with a long glance before entering.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

Mara winces just the tiniest bit at the noise.

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Mara of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Princess Alexis is the daughter of His Royal Highness, Prince Eric of Amber." calls out the Announcer emphasising "Prince".

"It's 'Mara', dear" she stage whispers to the announcer. "It helps to get the names straight. But good for you getting daddy's name right."

A lady in waiting appears and curtsies low and smiles,"Your Royal Highness, I will escort you to your seat." she says as she leads her to an empty chair beside Bishop with another empty chair beside her.

Mara glides behind the lady in waiting to her chair, only stopping to face and bow to Oberon on the way.

Oberon smiles to her,"Glad someone remembers that I am here."

She then curtsies properly again and walks away from her facing her.

Mara eases herself down into her chair. "Quite a turnout, isn't this," she comments quietly to Bishop and Zariya in a trained contralto voice.

Jared arrives at the Court dressed immaculately, in medeival garb perfect for the occasion. His noble rainment is offset with various pieces of jewelry that add a touch of color and sparkle to his dark clothing and black hair. A silver necklace in particular highlights the blue in his eyes quite nicely. He enters at a deliberate pace, allowing the door wardens to announce him. As he strides into the Great Hall, his eyes scan the room, taking in everything and everyone.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Jared of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Jared is the son of His Royal Highness, Prince Julian of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

Jared strides forward deliberately, bringing himself in front of the throne, where he turns smartly, drops to one knee, bows his head, and then rises. He then lets the page lead him to his seat.

Oberon nods formally and raises his hand and gives him a combination of a wave/benediction.

Jessa is 5' 8". and about 135 pds, slight build. She has dark red hair and bright blue/green eyes.

She is wearing a dark green silk dress, bare at the shoulders. On her feet you see silver slippers. She wears a emerald necklace and bracelet.

She is also in her late teens.

She is met by a lady in waiting who meets her and will escort her into the Hall

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Jessica of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

Jessa actually turns rather pale and glances at the floor as her name is announced.

Oberon shoots him the announcer a foul look with a vision of something resembling garrots and guiloteens and the man quickly re announces:

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as she enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Jessa of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn."

Oberon nods approvingly with a satisified smile

Jess smiles, as you name is pronounced correctly.

Oberon gives Jess a knowing smile as she continues along her way.

Jessa does smile at him as she passes him.

"Princess Jessa is the daughter of His Royal Highness, Prince Bleys of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

Jessa is then led down the aisle where the green carpet is, by the Lady in Waiting and seated beside an empty chair on the right and Jared on the left.

Following the lady in waiting she is wide eyed as she looks around. Settling in her chair, she glances at Jared.

Oberon motions to a page,"Where is Logen and Jake. Jake will have to sit beside Jessa and the right aisle when he arrives." he says decreeing.

            Left to Right:

Stephen, Alexis, Rory, Dunstree, Constantine, Enoch, Liam, Laszlo, George, Logen (not here yet), Bishop, Mara, Zariya, Jared, Jessa, (Jake) not here yet and Jada (not here yet).

After seating himself, Jared leans slightly toward Zariya, if she is not otherwise engaged in conversation, and whispers, "Nice to see you again. There seem to be quite a number of us, no?"

Zariya nods slightly to Jared, (as she is not engaged otherwise in conversation). "Quite a few," she whispers back. "It is suprising."

Jared, who has been whispering something to Zariya, turns to Jessa and nods politely. He rises from his seat until she is seated and then sits back down himself.

Jared smiles and sits in such a way as to include both Zariya and Jessa in the conversation. "I was just saying to our cousin here that there seem to be quite a few of us. I am Jared. This is Zariya." Jared gestures toward Zariya.

Jessa will smile at Zariya around Jared, nodding..

"Is this your first trip to Amber, Jessa?" Jared asks politely.

Jessa is still glancing down the line, before looking back at you. "Yes, I was attending a private boarding school in shadow before this. How about the two of you?"

Jared looks up with mild interest at this announcement and tries to make eye contact with this newly found sister. "Jada, Jake, Jessa, Jared... I think I'm out of position," he says quietly to Zariya and Jessa, who sit beside him.

Jessa actually quietly giggles, "I don't think we should switch seats. I think we were put here for a reason."

Jake arrives. He's wearing A Renaissance style outfit; soft leather boots, blue pants, white shirt with green vest. Jake has short red hair and green eyes. He quickly studies the whole room before going to his assigned location. Throughout the event he doesn't seem to be overly conversational.

As he enters the hall, a fussy courtier with a big white ruff around his neck approaches him,"Your Highness is your name short for Jacob or just Jake?" he says worried though there is not much time for him to do anything about it as another servant hustles Jake to the entrance.

Jake just shrugs and smiles as he's pushed through the doors...

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Jake of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer.

"Prince Jake is the son of His Royal Highness, Prince Bleys of Amber." calls out the Announcer.

Jake is seated between Princess Jada and Princess Jessa.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Benedict of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Lord Marshall of Amber."

A tall thin man with orange, yellow and brown striped hosing and mantle strides into the room silently. His long jaw seemed unaged since the last big family gathering that deposed Random many years ago. His hazel eyes are watching the room carefully like some wounded animal. He carefully scans the court and expressionessly he maintains a steady level gaze over the whole court.

Benedict's hair is gaining in length, so much that his ears are not visible.

His eyes drop a few degrees when he reaches the throne room and with a tight short angled bow he then goes and sits directly behind Stephen and Alexis.

Ostentatiously wearing a big red cape with a red and orange Rennaisance costume, Bleys, also clean shaven since The Battle of Dealunde Bridge strides boldly into the Court.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Bleys of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Lord Chancellor of Amber"

Bleys' has his shining golden sword at his hip as he swaggers in to the Court.

He stops along the way and chats with a few favoured Courtiers and produces a magical silver rose to give twice to two pretty young maidens. This slow procession merits him an AHEM from the enthroned Oberon.

Bleys smiles to his father and sashays up the main carpet and doffing an invisible or imaginary hat, Bleys flouridly bows to the King and then straightening himself up, he will go and sit down ever so showy beside Benedict and behind Alexis and Rory.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Caine of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Warden of the Amber Ports."

Caine strides in with a slight dark rhythm in his pace. The swarthy bearded and sideburned man wearing black with green trim looks like a rogue pirate with his pigtail and a tricornered hat with a long green feather that goes down his back. He is wearing both a thin stilleto sword on one side with a long thick dirklike dagger in his black boots.

Oberon nods and acknowledges him as he too, doffs his hat and bows to the Leige of Amber.

Caine then goes and smiles to Bleys who sees right through him, and then Caine grins and sits down beside Bleys who seems to look the other way.

Caine smirks and looks to see who is in the row in front of him. Rory and Dunstree.

            He smiles.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Llewella of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Viceroy of Remba."

Llewella looks demure in her green hair wearing green, jade and grey in her dress that has a pollyanna look to it with petticoats and whalebone corset though her braided hair includes seashells and pearls woven in it. Her jade coloured eyes seem deep in thought as she regards the restoration court and then she curtsies wordlessly to Oberon and assumes her seat.

She is seated beside Julian and behind Logen's EMPTY chair and Bishop.

            (Outside the door)

a high pitched female voice,"Cedric, why do you have to sit with them. You should sit with me. I mean that nasty father of yours would not let my cats come and watch."

"Olivia, this is Father's court. You know how he is. I promise when we get back I will get you some of those Remban diamonds that Mosley's estate is planning to sell."

"Good!" Olivia says,"I want more diamonds. Jasra even has more diamonds and Daddy says she's greedy."

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Cedric of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn."

Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Cedric rules Olympica which is the other way from Chaos to the One True Realm of Amber bypassing shadow."

Cedric is a slim tall blond man wearing a blue three piece suit with a pocket watch of gold and with a couple bright rings on his fingers. He is wearing a red white and blue striped tie.

Flora sighs,"Who looks after that boy's wardrobe?"

Fiona hisses to her,"Olivia of course. She needed to save money this week for her cats."

Cedric trots over to the throne and bows to his father.

Oberon smiles,"Now if I could only train that Chaos wife of yours to do that."

Cedric nods politely and goes to his seat. Beside Llewella and behind Bishop and Mara.

With Dworkin comes in his wife Maud of Kolvir.

Dworkin is bearded with a skull cap and is hunchbacked as he walks in with white grey hair and a long staff in his hand topped by a skull of a crow.

Maud is a white haired lady who has a face of a twenty year old with blue eyes and is in a green and white dress. She is smiling and they both smile to their son on his throne and then they go and sit down beside Cedric.

Maud is behind Mara and Zaiya and Dworkin is behind Zariya and Jared

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Queen Consort of Amber, Scion of the House Feanor." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Mirienna of Eregion."

Cedric's mother is a black haired beauty with blue eyes and a long dark green gown. She is wearing strange elvish runic carved diamonds that are haunting and beautiful. She is also wearing a tiara of the Queen Consort that was last seen in the Royal Haven Museum of Amber.

She walks on the green carpet and waves to her brother Xanthus sitting up in the musician's loft.

Mirienna sits down on the royal looking chair beside the throne.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Princess Florimel of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Chatelaine of Amber."

Flora walks into the throne room, not in traditional medieval/renaissance wear but something more lowcut, more glamourous. Her dress was of a blue green that had her long blond hair flowing down the back. She wore a choker around her neck of silk ribbon a matching blue green. Long matching gloves complimented her outfit.

Her blue eyes became lethal weapons as many a duel nearly broke out as she scanned the young and old men in the crowd.

"Hello Daddy," she says to Oberon when she reaches the throne. Oberon shakes his head,"Flora Flora Flora."

"Whatever am I going to do with you?"

She favours her father with a winsome smile and then makes her way to her chair beside Fiona. She is sitting behind both Laszlo and George and the scent of her perfume is permeating though not overwhelming. Like her the perfume is floral.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Gerard of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn."

Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Lord Admiral of Amber"

Gerard comes in, very properly and with a large frame that seems bigger than legend had tell. He had a slight fringe beard and a friendly smile. He was wearing a dressing gown of blue and grey, clasped in the middle with a black wide belt. His brown hair is combed and his green eyes seem to regard everyone in a friendly light.

He sits beside Flora and in behind George and Laszlo.

Wearing a black leather jacket and legging, Eric of Amber strides into the large room. He ignores the fussy major domos and procedes in.

He has on a a plain red cloak with boots and a sword belt bearing a long silvery sabre that is clasped with a ruby. He has a pair of black gloves stuck in the belt near the gold and ruby buckle.

His black hair and beard are perfectly trimmed and almost coiffured. His blue eyes seem smiling and laughing as he uses his handsome charismatic self to look his best.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Eric of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Constable of Amber Castle."

Several of the noblemen smile and give him favourable looks.

Eric then nods to Oberon,"Father. You have returned." he says.

Oberon gives him a nod,"Yes. Eric. I have."

Eric then goes evenly and sits down beside Dierdre who goes and moves her chair beside Corwin and sticks her chin in the air and looks at Constantine's ear everytime Eric tries to make eye contact with her.

Eric is sitting behind Enoch and Liam.

Julian comes into the room... in white armour. It seems that the order of Oberon's was not being received with a blind eye. He still is cleanshaven with long black hair hanging down the side of his face.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Julian of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn."

Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Warden of Arden."

Julian then sits beside Gerard who smiles to him nicely. Julian is in front of the Missing Logen's chair and George.

Wearing an Elizabethean coat over her dress skirt, Fiona made her petite stature seem larger without falling to use her sharp tongue and imperious natural to use.

Fiona's red hair is swept back behind her back and over her shoulders. Her green eyes speculating as she seems to not see a crowd but individuals.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess Fiona of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn." Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Lord Treasurer of Amber."

Fiona strides above the green carpet and reaches the throne,"Your Majesty." she says to her father whom she once deposed.

Oberon regards her playfully, "Fiona, dear. I trust you will use your connections in Thelbane to make Amber rich again." he bids her.

She smiles to him and then nods

Quietly she sits beside Eric and in front of Lian and Laszlo.

Stephen has been casually glancing about as folk entered, getting a look at each relative, noting their styles and demeanors. His interest piques slightly at the arrival of his mother, and he cannot help but watch her entire entrance and her exchange with Oberon. She is every bit as lovely and impressive as he recalled, though he fights down those thoughts.

The great wooden doors come open with a flourish as he enters.

There is an ear piercing revellery of twenty trumpeers blow out a flourish!

"His Royal Highness, The Prince Corwin of Amber, Scion of the Unicorn."

Calls out a very loud voiced announcer. "Prince Corwin is also the Creator of the Parys Pattern."

Corwin comes into the room with a long black cloak trimmed in silver with silver gauntlets. His recognizable Pattern Sword of Greyswandir is singing merrily in its own lively world. A silver rose pins his cloak while the rest of his pants and mantle are silver and black also.

His green eyes seem to water a bit as he looks around and sees everything. Then near the throne, he winces painfully for a moment and after shaking his head, oblivious of the people for a moment, he goes to a big redheaded guy with freckles, "Fancy seeing you again after all these years."

The man looks aside nervously. "Your Highness."

"Last time we met was at dinner." Corwin says,"I think Eric was trying on Dad's crown at the time."

The redhead looks very nervous and his eyes dart around like a rat in a cage.

Corwin laughs and slaps him on the shoulder. Hard. Painfully hard. "No hard feelings, Old boy." he chortles,"I was only hoping if that lass who was with you that night was still around."

A voice from outside in Julian's nasal whine calls out,"Corwin, you were annoying the woman. She did not want to talk to you."

Corwin laughs and says,"I do need to talk to you, red." he says as he wanders over to Oberon.

Not bowing but smiling,"Hi Dad." he says.

"Hi Corwin." Oberon nods saying,"Now go sit down and stop looking for dates."

Corwin sits down beside Caine and moves his chair a few inches from Caine. He is sitting behind Dunstree and Constantine.
