MY PERSONAL ENDORSEMENTS
I do not "endorse" a lot of things, but the organizations I choose to get behind are very near and dear to my heart for various reasons.

The North Star Foundation provides exceptionally empathic Golden Retrievers to families with children affected with autism spectrum disorder and in some cases certain other similar syndromes. These remarkable dogs participate in every aspect of the child's life and are specifically included in the learning process... whether the "learning" is academic, physical therapy, or social skills-oriented. In order to be a North Star dog, Goldens must exhibit a high order of empathic ability as well as the innate drive to go to a child in crisis mode and provide a focus that will divert the child away from a potential "melt-down." I am happy to have provided two such service dogs to North Star and plan to provide them with more in the near future.

"Jag" was an adult male champion Golden Retriever who was "lost" under mysterious circumstances over Memorial Day weekend 2005 while in the care of his professional handlers in the MidWest. What actually happened to him and where he is now is still unknown. His California breeder and owners are beside themselves with worry and concern. It appears now there was some sort of foul play and a lawsuit has been filed. A generous reward is offered for any information that leads to Jag's recovery, alive or dead. Any and all contributions to the Jag Legal Assistance Fund will not be tax-deductable but will be most appreciated. Jag's owner is not wealthy, she just wants to know what really happened to her beloved companion.

The Land of Pure Gold Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of the human-canine bond with a specific focus on canine cancer research and treatment. Rochelle Lesser, the Foundation's owner and operator, is currently conducting a FABULOUS fund-raising raffle containing 76 raffle prizes with a combined value of $6500!!! With one out of every three Goldens now acquiring some form of cancer in their lifetimes, this is a serious health risk to our beloved companions.
