Rusty was my "almost" dog. He was the big standout in our first show-bred litter, Desi bred to the then #1 Golden in the US "Jake". Jake's breeders and owners generously sponsored Rusty's show career, and he quickly "minored out". While we were waiting for Major-pointed shows to finish him, he died suddenly after a brief but violent bout of pancreatitis. I only have one photo remaining of him, which I will post as soon as I can find it and scan it in.

Despite Rusty's tragically short lifetime, he has had one lasting legacy at RDO... he became the first of the "What A ....." named RDO Goldens. So a little piece of Rusty is still alive and well in his great-great-grandaughter "Remmie", RDO's What A Dream!
