Am Ch Fanfare’s On Broadway x Emerald ‘n Marquay's Cactus Kate

Abby was originally sold as a puppy to a family in the midwest. When a tornado leveled their home, the only apartment they could find said "No dogs!" and she was returned to her breeder Pat Greene of Emerald Goldens at nearly two years of age. After a serious health crisis, I had gotten down to only one breedable bitch, and she was nearing retirement age, so Pat generously offered Abby to me. One rather unattractive cosmetic flaw, a high tail carry, meant no show career for her. We ran her through genetic testing and she passed with flying colors, including an OFA grade of Excellent on her hips. She was the fourth such OFA Excellent offspring for her sire "Tony" so we knew we had genetic gold in this girl.

Abby's large expressive dark eyes and jet black pigment are her most outstanding facial features. She is very feminine, dainty almost, but she is our Wild Child! She can run rings around our other Goldens and does with great gusto. Our boys tend to be very soft so she brings some much needed toughness to the genetic mix. She is that perfect shade of lustrous light honey gold and Abby has wonderful offspring in show and performance homes across the country. Her daughter "Rika" is our triathelon girl, showing great promise in show, field, and obedience!
