Isle of Woman is one of Piers Anthony's historical fantasies. This book, along with Shame of Man, tells the story of a family through history. In Isle of Woman, a man and woman start a life together in pre-historic times. They are separated and time continues. As each chapter progresses, so does the era that the two live in, told from alternating perspectives. Each time, they live close to each other sometimes knowing each other, others not. This book is a great way to catch up on some history that you may have missed through a fun avenue. Though all characters are fictional, each time is protrayed accurately. This book is an enjoyable read.
I just saw the newest addition to this series in the bookstore. Hope of Earth is now out in hardcover.
