This has to be my all-time favorite fantasy story. It is a completely new twist on the story of King Arthur. First of all it is told from the viewpoint of a woman, King Arthur's half-sister, Morgaine Le Fay. Needless to say, that's where the inspiration for my webpage theme came from. Anyway, the story starts with the magical Isle of Avalon, the source of all magic in England. Because they are siblings, Morgaine and Arthur come to an agreement whereby magic will remain as long as the druids and other mystics were given peace. However, Arthur's subsequent marriage to Guenevere and other pressures force Arthur into a drastic decision. To remove all traces of non-Christian beliefs from England. It is at that point that Morgaine must decide how she must react to her brother's betrayel.
