Thix Barkon's Nemesis Squadron

Nemesis squadron was formed by Thix Barkon out of the remnants of Green squadron, which was based on the carrier Xenomorph. Thix filled the ranks of Nemesis with familiar, yet good, pilots that he had come to know and trust.

The three most prominent names in Nemesis squadron are Thix himself, Grant Bowmark, and Becky Caleer.
Although not all pilots in Nemesis Squadron have been in it as long as Thix or Grant, they are all made to feel welcome. Nemesis squadron pilots enter the squadron as average and leave either dead or well decorated.
Grant helps train new pilots, and, since his skill in piloting is very good, his guidance leads other Nemesis Squadron pilots to excel. Grant also goes out of his way to act as Squadron Drill Sergeant to new recruits for their first couple weeks on the job. From him most pilots learned the basics of bullying; this nearly always comes in handy when dealing with uncooperative enemies when they aren't in the sky.

Grant Bowmark

Grant Bowmark is Nemesis Squadron's second-in-command. He is an excellent pilot and staunch defender of the Rebellion.
Like so many people who fight in the Rebellion, Grant once sided with the Imperials. He attended the Imperial Academy and excelled in all subjects, political, academic, and military. He very nearly surpassed his instructors. However, he was not the best.
A fellow student named Yan Idaeus was a better pilot than Grant, but was clouded by his cockiness. Grant graduated Salutatorian next to Yan.
Grant piloted a TIE Interceptor in a squadron for only a short while before defecting to the Rebels with his ship. He was assigned to a little known X-Wing squadron onboard a carrier named Xenomorph. The squadron was designated "Green". They functioned for a few months before being flung into battle at Hapes.
Green squadron was decimated. When half the squadron remained, an X-Wing flew into the fray without a squadron and linked up with Green Squadron. This newcomer was given the number 5. What Grant knew was this pilot was pretty good. What he didn't know was that this pilot was Thix Barkon, his future leader.
After the battle, Grant and the other pilots were without a leader and lacking eight pilots. They held a ballot to see which of them would step up to squadron leader. Surprisingly, they voted in Thix, who had gone back to the Jedi Academy. Grant had voted for someone else.
They got replacement pilots soon after. Grant fought with Green Squadron in many battles. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant, and awarded the Crynyd Award for valor in combat. Right before the battle of Centauri III, the name of the squadron was changed to Nemesis, a much more fitting one than Green Squadron, which conjured up images of pilots fresh out of flying school. Grant still functions as second-in-command.
Grant is six foot one. He weighs 165 pounds, and has a large scar on his leg from shrapnel from a fragmenting grenade. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He has a very to-the-point manner around those he doesn't know but very friendly and talkative tone with those he does. He dresses casually, and carries a heavy blaster (damage is 50) with him at all times.

Rebecca Caleer

Rebecca 'Becky' Caleer was born on a space station near the Core. Being so close to the Imperial seat of power, she grew up with all the regulations and rules of the Empire.
For some reason, these rules disagreed with her like oil disagrees with water; and although her family members are staunch Imperial supporters, she hitched a
ride out of the system with a family friend who was headed for Corellia. She spent most of her early adolescent years living there. Corellia still had plenty of Imperials and their kin on it, but for the most part was easier for Becky to tolerate. More so than her previous location.
She learned to pilot in her friend's freighter, shooting at decrepit space junk for target practice and doing small jobs on long runs for her friend while she was
sleeping.
Finally she decided to go all the way and joined the Rebellion. She was assigned to a squadron under Major Lance Hendrikson; more specifically, in the hangar of the carrier Retaliation. After a while, the ships in the squadrons received new profiles and each of the four capital ships under Hendrikson's command took a starfighter type: two A-Wing filled ships, one B-Wing, and one X-Wing. Since Rebecca was an X-Wing pilot, she found herself in the same squadron (Yellow squadron) but on the Xenomorph.
She did not particiate in the Battle of Hapes, which occurred a month later. Many months after the batle of Hapes, Yellow squadron got into a scrape at Centauri III, and were all but annihilated. After the battle, five out of the twelve ships and pilots remained.
She was shot down into the desert, but picked up later. As a kind of 'reward' for surviving the 'trauma' of ejection, she was sent to a nice resort town in the
Clak'dor system, named Un'yawa. It was nice for about a day...in the middle of Rebecca's second night there, a small group of terrorists attacked the compound, and shot two guards. They left behind a number of eggs that hatched into an experimental biological weapon known only as the "Grey Death". Rebecca and a few colonists who survived the following attack were rescued by Hawk Castle and Nathan Garrote.
The five remaining pilots of Yellow squadron and their vessels were bounced to separate squadrons, and Yellow squadron vanished. Becky found herself in Nemesis Squadron. She continues to serve with them.
Rebecca Caleer is 5'8" tall, weighing 130 pounds. She has long, straight brown hair that is uaually kept in a ponytail. She has brown eyes. She is a slim and attractive young woman at age 18.
