Colonel Lance Hendrikson
- Colonel Lance Hendrikson was born on Nar Shaddaa into a high-class family. His life was full of schooling and formalities, and it bored him. He put up with the schooling and the adult parties as he grew up; running away would not serve any ends! When he reached legal piloting age he signed up to work as the captain and copilot of a freighter for a large shipping company.
- His job as a captain honed his leadership abilities and tested his limits. The shipping company, Sasimi Inc., was based off of Nar Shaddaa, one of the very rare legitimate businesses found on the whole of the Smuggler's Moon. He commanded a Corellian Corvette called the Centurion, running cargo to various destinations around the galaxy. Though the Corvette is a relatively small ship--but potent in it's own right--Lance still found ample situations to test his abilities. Astronavigation was
something he never mastered, but he soon located his flair for getting unhappy or unsatisfied customers to see his point of view, and could handle his crew better than most older captains could.
- Lance had the bad fortune to actually be present at the destruction of Alderaan. In Alderaan's space there were hundreds of ships coming and going, trade, diplomacy, for whatever reason brought them to the infamous planet. Lance's Centurion had just pulled out of hyperspace, along with it's sister ship, the Corvette Blizzard, Mark II. The Death Star was just priming it's superlaser, and, in the aftermath, Lance had his ships beat a hasty retreat before the Empire decided to kill witnesses, though the opposite was what Grand Moff Tarkin had in mind--let the witnesses escape to tell the galaxy about his new weapon.
- Lance became a Rebel sympathizer after the prejudiced reports concerning the Battle of Hoth came over the airwaves. He had never been partial to the Empire; they were responsible for countless atrocities, everyone knew. No one really thought the Butcher acted out of pure impulse when he slew the hundreds of Rebels at Montellian Serat. He fed the Rebels what supplies he could from his ship's cargoes, with the help of fellow crewmember sympathizers.
- Lance formally signed up with the Rebel Alliance shortly after the Battle of Endor. He took part in multiple campaigns against the Empire since. Entering with his ship at the rank of Captain, Lance
rose quickly to the rank of Major. The Centurion, old and outdated, was consigned to picket duty when Lance accepted a higher command of a task force, consisting of two modified carriers and two Mon Calamari cruisers. The carriers, older ships used by a struggling Rebellion desperate for craft--formed the mainstay of Lance's forces. He found that he could cram multiple fighter squadrons into each one, making them considerable foes
in a fight.
- He has been called on in multiple recent battles to bring his ships to bear on enemy forces: Mechis III, Dantooine, Sullust, Yavin IV, and Fury. He has also participated in multiple investigations, co-operating with Rebel Intelligence operatives or working on his own.
- Lance has most recently worked on the "Jarkov Ordeal", compiling reports of searches, interrogations, and the like into his quest to locate the man and bring him before the law of the galaxy. Technically, Lance realized, Jarkov was out of Rebel jurisdiction if he claimed righteous self-government and had a following (which he did), but one is not immune to crimes against another group of a different creed. The trick was proving that Jarkov was behind some of the recent transgressions.
- During a bit of anti-Jarkov subterfuge, Lance's flagship, the modified carrier
Xenomorph stopped and apprehended a freighter transporting eggs of the
Gray Death to a buyer. Lance ordered the eggs sterilized with a heavy dosage of
poison, and sent ten to local Rebel HQ to be studied under the eye of General
Garm Bel Iblis and kept two on board for further research and comparison to
future captured specimens. The poison, however, did not take. The Death hatched
on schedule and after heavy fighting, Hendrikson's crew managed to destroy the
two errant Death.
- At HQ, Bel Iblis found his base staff overrun by the ten Death that had hatched,
and barricaded themselves into a control room. Right as the Death were closing
in and tearing away at the barricade, Hendrikson jumped in-system and sent down
assault teams to the surface. The ensuing battle wiped out the remaining Death.
For his assistance and vigilance, Bel Iblis gave him a promotion to Colonel - a
non-negotiable "reward", since Lance had refused promotions in the past. Bel
Iblis also extended his task force with more capital ships and fightercraft.
Lance's task force is now more of a squadron of capital ships than anything
else. His parting orders from Bel Iblis were to "persecute the actions against
Gregor Jarkov to the fullest extent of you and your squadron's abilities."
- Lance Hendrikson is currently 46 years old. His look is one of military regulation--he feels comfortable in uniform and is happiest wearing one or something akin to one. Despite his
adherence to guideline for dress, Lance has the bad habit of rarely shaving, and almost omnipresent beard stubble is not uncommon for him. He is a friendly person to be with--not too serious, not too humor-oriented. Lance is 5'10" tall, weighs 140 pounds, has short brown hair and brown eyes, and maintains the rank of Major and a command of ships in the Rebellion navy.

Hendrikson is in command of a small task force consisting of
eleven capital ships and 250 fighters.
- Xenomorph -- heavy modified
bulk cruiser; Rebel use as a fightercraft carrier
- Retaliation -- heavy modified
bulk cruiser; Rebel use as a fightercraft carrier
- Remember Ord Mantell (ROM) --
MC-80 cruiser, modified for extra hangar space
- Lightbringer -- MC-80
cruiser, unmodified
- Astarte -- Nebulon-B Frigate
- Adamant -- Nebulon-B Frigate
- Yearning -- Nebulon-B Frigate
- Fighterbane -- Lancer Frigate
- Silhouette -- Marauder Corvette
- Thinktwice -- Marauder Corvette
- Regulator -- Marauder Corvette
The bulk cruisers have 7 heavy
turbolaser turrets mounted on them, along with 2 heavy ion cannons and 2 tractor
beams. Their relative lack of armament is made up for with their armor and
cavernous hangar space--three squadrons of snubfighters can be squeezed into one
of them, plus a small number of support craft such as shuttles. The plate armor
that covers the surface of these carriers is extremely durable, along with their
shield generators (able to take around the same amount of damage as might an
Imperial-Class Star Destroyer's armor plating and shielding). In appearance they
resemble a Carrack-class light cruiser with a pair of wedge-shaped 'wings'
jutting out from near the rear of each side. Each 'wing' houses the exit to a
hangar bay. Heavy turbolaser turrets on the top and bottom of each 'wing'
protect the aft, port, and starboard sides of the vessel, and three more on the
top, bottom, and stern of the ship help guard the fuselage.
