Narrator: It's been two weeks since we left our favorite characters, they were-

Jeremy: Flying through the sky in a hot air balloon!

Narrator: Not quite… Actually, they were on their way to mount Moon! Before that, Dak's Weedle evolved into Kakuna! And Molly, captured the fire pokémon, Growlithe! Molly now has two pokémon.

[A wooded and Rocky area.]

(Molly and Dak and Aquachu are walking down a path.)

Dak: We have been on the road now for about 4 weeks now! We haven't even gotten to Mount Moon.

Molly: Mount Moon…

(Molly looks at her map.)

Molly: Looks like we have quite a ways…

Dak: Hmph…

Aquachu: Aqua…

Dak: Well, I'll just catch some good pokémon then!

Molly: I love my Growlithe! And my Vulpix!

Dak: Well I have a Kakuna!

Molly: Yeah… That’s great.

Dak: He's the best!

Aquachu: Aqua!

Dak: Not literally Aquachu.

Aquachu: Chu aqua.

Dak: When do you suppose we get to mount moon?

Molly: Well, I can see it in the distance, but it'll take probably a day…

Dak: Alright!

Molly: What?

Dak: Looks like we have a challenger…

(Up ahead they see a girl with leaning against the tree with her friends. They approach her.)

Girl: Hey, you!

Dak: What?

Girl: Where are you guys headed?

Molly: Mount moon.

Girl: It's nice to meet ya! My name's Danica!

Dak: That's nice.

Danica: I challenge you to a pokémon fight!

Dak: You're on!

Danica: Great!

(Dak and Danica walk to the middle of the path.)

Dak: We'll use two pokémon each.

Danica: Agreed. Ready?

Dak: Ready.

Danica: Okay, Jigglypuff, go!

Jigglypuff: Puff!

Dak: Whoa…

Pokédex: Jigglypuff, a balloon pokémon. When it's huge eyes light up, it sings a mysteriously soothing melody.

Dak: Okay, Meowth, go!

(Dak throws a pokéball, and Meowth appears.)

Danica: Jigglypuff, use your slap attack!

(Jigglypuff waddles over to Meowth and whaps it on the head.)

Dak: Meowth, scratch attack!

(Meowth let's his claws out, and swipes Jigglypuff.)

Jigglypuff: Jiggly!

Danica: Jigglypuff! Sing!

(Jigglypuff tries to stand high.)

Jigglypuff: (sings) Ji - ga - ly - puff- jigaly- y - puff..

Meowth: Meow?

(Meowth's eyes begin to feel heavy. Then they soon shut.)

Meowth: ZzZzZzZzZ…

Dak: Meowth? Get up!

Danica: Good job Jigglypuff, now return! Venomoth, go!

(Danica returns Jigglypuff, then releases Venomoth from it's pokéball.)

Venomoth: Venomoth!

Dak: Come on Meowth!

Meowth: …

Dak: Use your Pay-Day attack!

Meowth: ZzZzzZ…

Danica: Venomoth, use your razor wind!

Venomoth: Veno!

(Venomoth flaps it's wings furiously and blows Meowth against a tree.)

Meowth: Owth…

Dak: Awe, Meowth return!

(Meowth enters it's pokéball.)

Danica: Ha!

Girls: Yay!

Molly: Come on Dak!

Dak: Which pokémon should I use? … I got it! Kakuna go!

Molly: What?!

Kakuna: …

Danica: A Kakuna?

Dak: Kakuna, … What are your attacks? Okay, Harden!

(Kakuna's shell shines, then hardens.)

Danica: Oh well… Venomoth, Poison Powder!

Venomoth: Moth!

(Venomoth releases powder from it's wings on Kakuna. Then Kakuna falls over.)

Dak: Kakuna, string shot!

Kakuna: …

Danica: Razor Wind!

(Venomoth blows Kakuna against a tree.)

Dak: Awe… Kakuna return…

Danica: Yes! I won!

Dak: That wasn't fair!

Danica: Yes it was.

Dak: Hmph…

Danica: Well, see ya again sometime! Come on girls!

(All the girls and Danica get on their bikes and ride off.)

Dak: Awe man…

Molly: It's okay Dak.

Dak: I shoulda won…

Aquachu: Aqua…

Dak: Well, let's get going!

Molly: Okay!

(They continue on the path. Up ahead they see a Pokémon center.)

Molly: Great! I'm starving!

Dak: What?

Molly: Pokémon centers give out free food for pokémon trainers!

Dak: Great!

Aquachu: Chu!

(They run the rest of the way to the center.)

[Inside the pokecenter.)

(Dak, Molly, and Aquachu enter the Center.)

Dak: Where is the food?!

Molly: I'm not sure.

(They walk up to the counter and a woman that looks exactly like Kate.)

Dak: Kate?

Molly: From Pewter City?

Kate: Oh no… That is my sister. We are identical.

Dak: Oh

Molly: So, where is the food?

Kate: (smiles) It's right through there.

(Kate points to a near bye door. The three enter the door way, to see a cafetiria, tables, couches, and other trainers.)

Dak: Let's eat!

(They all run to the bar and grab food, then head back to a booth and sit down, they notice Danica and her friends laughing ditzy like.)

Dak: Urgh! There she is…

(Molly looks around.)

Molly: Hmm… She is ugly in my opinion…

(Danica turns around to see Dak, and she begins to laugh. Dak's face begins to turn red. A boy in the next booth turns around and leans over the seat. He is much taller looking than Dak, and looks a lot tougher.)

Boy: So, you met Danica…

Molly: Uhhhh…

(Molly stares at the boy.)

Molly: Wow, your cu-

(Molly covers her mouth with her hand.)

Dak: Yes, unfortunately.

Boy: Don't let her get to you. She has always been a pain is the butt.

Dak: You know her?

Boy: Yeah, she went to my school, in Celadon city.

(The boy hops over the seat next to Molly. Then he reaches his hand across the table to Dak, and they shake hands.)

Boy: My name is Casey.

Dak: Nice to meet cha, my name is Dak, and that's Molly.

(Casey turns to Molly.)

Casey: Nice to meet you Molly.

Molly: Nice to meet you too.

Casey: So I see you have an Aquachu.

Aquachu: Aquachu!

Dak: Yup, I found his egg way back in the Viridian Forest.

Casey: Really?! Your pretty lucky.

Dak: Yeah, what pokémon do you have?

Casey: Me? I have an Abra.

Dak: Wow! You have Abra! I have a Kakuna, Aquachu, and a Meowth.

Molly: I have a Vulpix and a Growlithe.

Casey: How long have you been on the road?

Dak: For a couple weeks now.

Casey: Where are you guys from?

Molly: I'm from Pallet, and Dak is from Viridian City.

Casey: How old are you two?

Dak: 13.

Molly: Same here.

Casey: I'm 15.

(Casey looks at his watch.)

Casey: Man it's time for me to go…

Dak: Where are you headed?

Casey: Towards Mount Moon.

Molly: We are too!

Dak: Yeah.

Casey: How about we walk with each other to Mount Moon?

Molly: Great!

Aquachu: Chu!

[Route 3.]

(The 4 are walking.)

Casey: I'm hoping to get some good pokémon.

Dak: Me too, I'll need it for the next Gym.

Casey: I'm not that kind of Pokémon trainer…

Dak: Really?

Casey: I want to be a Pokémon doctor, when I grow up.

Molly: That's great.

Casey: I'm tired…

Aquachu: Chu, Aquachu.

Dak: me too

Casey: Let's take a rest.

(They walk off of the path, and sit on a big rock. They glance around at the good scenery with Pidgey flying about, and the warm air. Off to the side they see a spring.)

Casey: Look a spring.

Molly: I'm thirsty.

Casey: Me too! Let's go!.

(They all run to the spring and wash their faces, and drink. Then Aquachu jumps in.)

Aquachu: Aqua!

Dak looks like Aquachu's having fun.

(All of a sudden, Aquachu jumps out.)

Casey: What's wrong?

Aquachu: Aqua aquachu chu!

(The water moves around, and a Poliwag pops out. Then moves out of the water.)

Poliwag: Poli?

Dak: Wow…

Pokédex: Poliwag, a tadpole pokémon. This pokémon's newly grown lags prevent it from running.

Casey: I want to catch it, I need a water pokémon for when I go to mount moon! Err.. Is that okay?

Dak: Be my guest.

Molly: I collect Fire pokémon, go ahead!

Casey: Alright!

(Casey gets out a shiny black pokéball.)

Casey: Abra, go!

(Casey hurls his pokéball, and releases Abra.)

Abra: Abra…

Dak: I've never seen an Abra in action. Huh? It looks like it's sleeping!

Poliwag: Poliwag!

(Poliwag shoots a jet of water at Abra.)

Casey: Abra, teleport!

(Just before the water hits Abra, he disappears.)

Poliwag: Poli?

(Poliwag looks around in wonder. Behind Poliwag, Abra appears, and kicks him.)

Dak: Did you see that?!

Molly: Yeah…

Dak: Okay Abra, use your leer attack!

(Abra's eyes open up, and he stares into Poliwag's eyes. Poliwag slowly begins to fall asleep, Poliwag staggars around then falls to the ground.)

Casey: Poliwag, you're mine!

(Casey throws a pokéball, and it hits Poliwag, and sucks it in.)

Casey:…

(The Ball wiggles.)

Casey: Come on…

(The ball stops wiggleing, and Casey picks up the ball making sure that it is secure.)

Casey: Yeah!

Dak: Good job!

Casey: Thanks. Abra, return!

(Abra returns into it's pokéball.)

Casey: Good thing too, I'll need a water pokémon for Mt. Moon.

Dak: Why is that?

Molly: Because, there is mostly rock and ground pokémon there, and Water has an advantage over those.

Dak: Oh, good thing I have Aquachu!

Aquachu: Chu! Aqua!

Casey: Poliwag must be hurt from the fight… I'll heal it.

(Casey releases Poliwag.)

Poliwag: Poli?

(Casey kneels down in front of Poliwag.)

Casey: Sorry about that back there.

Poliwag: Wag?

Casey: Here.

(Casey sprays Poliwag with a potion.)

Casey: There, do you feel better?

(Poliwag smiles.)

Poliwag: Wag Poli!

(Poliwag rubs against Casey, and Casey picks up Poliwag, and hugs him.)

Molly: Awe…

(Casey let's down Poliwag, and Aquachu prances up to it.)

Aquachu: Aquachu! Chuuu Aqua Chu Aqua Aquachu!

Poliwag: Wag! Poliwag wa wag wag poli.

Aquachu: Chu!

(They carry on their own conversation. And the others laugh.)

Molly: Looks like Poliwag has a new friend!

Casey: Yeah!

(They start on the path again, but soon in front of them lies a raging river. The water splashes against the bank, and hits them with water.)

Dak: Hey where's the bridge?

(Molly looks at her map.)

Molly: There isn't one. The nearest one is about 5 miles out of our way…

Dak: How are we going to get across?

Aquachu: Aqua! Chu Aquachu!

Poliwag: Poliwag!

(Poliwag and Aquachu run in front of Casey. They all watch closely. Poliwag breaths in deep, then slowly forms a bubble at his mouth, it gets bigger, and he floats it towards Aquachu. Aquachu jumps at the bubble, and Aquachu is suddenly in side the bubble floating around.)

Poliwag: Poliwag!

Casey: Oh! Poliwag will use his bubble technique, and we can float over the river!

Poliwag: Wag!

Dak: That's a good idea!

Molly: Great!

(Poliwag creates 3 large bubbles, and Dak, Molly, and Casey each enter one. Then Poliwag creates one around himself. Moving in a swim like formation, they all manage to maneuver their bubbles across the river.)

Molly: This is fun!

Dak: I'm flying!

Casey: Woohoo!

(As they go over the river, they see water pokémon, swimming upstream.)

Molly: A goldeen!

(A Goldeen swims belly up and in circles as she passes them.)

Dak: A Magikarp.

(A Magikarp swims, flopily and ungracefully, and splashes every where on his way up.)

Dak: What's that crab? Is that a pokémon?

Molly: I think it's a Krabby.

(Under the water, a Krabby hastily walks on the floor of the River.)

Poliwag: Poli!

Casey: Look!

(3 poliwhirl stick out of the water and begin to wave their hands at Poliwhirl and the rest. Poliwag waves his tale back, and the rest wave back as well.)

Polywhirl: Poliwhirl! Poli Poli! Whirl!

Casey: That must be Poliwags family.

(The Poliwhirl jump out of the water, and back in under water.)

Poliwag: Poliwag!

(When looking down, they stop seeing water, and see land.)

Dak: How do we get down?

(Suddenly, a group of Pidgey fly by and pop all of the Bubbles.)

Molly: That's how…

(All the Pidgey fly into a near by tree and begin to laugh.)

Casey: Poliwag, are you okay?

Poliwag: Wag.

Dak: What about you Aquachu.

Aquachu: Chu!

Dak: Good.

Molly: There sure are a lot of Pidgey in this area…

Dak: Which is, I remind you, a Pokémon that I do not have!

Molly: Here he goes…

Dak: I've always wanted a Pidgey! Heh heh…

(Dak runs to a near by tree.)

Casey: Does he always act like this?

Molly: Pretty much…

Dak: Hey Pidgey!

(The Pidgey that seems to be the leader of the group glares at Dak.)

Dak: Yeah, you! Let's fight!

Casey: A human challenging a pokémon? Now that's odd…

(The Pidgey bursts out of the tree and swoops right above Dak, then lands on the ground in front of Dak.)

Casey: Well now is his chance.

Dak: Alright! Meowth, I choose you!

(Dak releases Meowth from his pokéball.)

Meowth: Meowth!

Dak: Ha!

Pidgey: Pidgey!

Dak: Meowth, use your scratch attack!

Meowth: Meow!

(Meowth leaps into the air, and gets a good swipe at Pidgey.)

Pidgey: Pidgey!

(Pidgey flies into the air and loops around, then comes dashing down towards Meowth, and hit's him, beak first, in his stomach.)

Meowth: Meow!

(Meowth falls to the ground.)

Dak: Oh no! Meowth, return. Kakuna, go!

Molly: Why does he always release that dumb pokémon?

Casey: Kakuna can only use harden!

(After bringing in Meowth, Dak releases Kakuna, and Pidgey begins to flap it's wings. Dust starts to fill the air.)

Dak: *cough* I can't see!

(Pidgey then, gets ready to do his swift attack, and starts dashing for Kakuna.)

Dak: Kakuna, harden!

(Pidgey flies into the cloud of dust, and there is a huge crash.)

Casey: What happened?

(The dust settles, and they all see Pidgey with it's beak stuck into Kakuna's shell.)

Dak: Kakuna!

(Kakuna begins to glow, and a crack goes down the back side of Kakuna.)

Dak: Wha?

(Slowly, a Beedrill comes out of the Kakuna shell.)

Dak: It's evolving! Yes!

(Dak gets out his pokédex.)

Pokédex: Beedrill, a bee pokémon, this pokémon is the evolved form of Kakuna. It's first attack is Razor wind.

(The Pidgey, who's beak is still stuck in Kakuna's old shell, looks up at Beedrill.)

Dak: All right! Now's my chance, Beedrill, use your whirlwind attack!

(Beedrill rises into the air, and Pidgey tries to get away, but can't remove it's beak from the shell. The Beedrill furiously flaps it's wings and sends Pidgey smashed against a tree.)

Dak: Okay! Pokéball go!

(Dak throws the pokéball. The pokéball hits Pidgey and sucks him in. The ball wiggles for about a minute, and finally stops. Dak returns Beedrill, and runs to the ball and sees that it is secure, then holds it into the air.)

Dak: I caught a Pidgey!

Danica: A Pidgey?

(Danica and her friends are standing nearby, and they begin to snicker. Then Danica strides over to Dak and the rest.)

Casey: Go away Danica.

Danica: I'm surprised Casey! Why would you hang out with them while you could hang out with us?

Casey: Get a life…

Dak: Yeah! This Pidgey's great!

Danica: Oh really? Then show your stuff.

Dak: Is that a challenge?

Danica: Wow! You're smart!

Dak: Shut up! Okay, I accept!

Danica: Good, two pokémon, same as last time!

Dak: Okay, I'm ready! Pidgey, go!

(Dak releases Pidgey from his pokéball.)

Pidgey: Pidgey!

Danica: Venomoth, I choose you!

(Danica releases Venomoth.)

Dak: Pidgey, use your quick attack!

(Pidgey flies into the air and swoops at Venomoth, but Venomoth glides out of the way.)

Danica: Venomoth, use your sleep powder!

Venomoth: Venomoth!

(Venomoth begins to let out his sleep powder, and it begins to travel to Pidgey.)

Dak: Pidgey, use your gust attack.

(Pidgey flaps his wings as hard as it can, and sends a gust of wind toward Venomoth, the gust catches the sleeping powder, and hits Venomoth.)

Venomoth: Veno…

Danica: What?!

(Venomoth glides to the ground and falls fast asleep.)

Dak: Whirlwind now!

(Pidgey uses his wings, and creates a big whirlwind, the wind picks up Venomoth, and slams him against a tree.)

Danica: Venomoth, return. Jigglypuff, do your stuff!

(Jigglypuff comes out, just as Venomoth returns.)

Jigglypuff: Puff!

Danica: Sing your heart out!

(Jigglypuff begins to sing, and Pidgey's eyes begin to close.)

Dak: Jigglypuff, use your Quick attack!

Pidgey: Pidgey…

(Pidgey glides and pirches on a nearby tree branch.)

Dak: Pidgey, return!

(Dak returns Pidgey to it's pokéball.)

Danica: Please don’t tell my you're going to send that Kakuna out.

Dak: No, I won't. Beedrill, go!

(Dak throws his pokéball, and from it Beedrill appears.)

Danica: What!? Urgh… Jigglypuff, sing!

(Jigglypuff once again starts to sing.)

Jigglypuff: Ji-ga-ly-puff-jiggally-y-puff…

Dak: Razor Wind Beedrill!

Beedrill: Beedrill!

(Beedrill flaps it's wings and sends a tremendous gust of wind at Jigglypuff.)

Jigglypuff: (still singing) Ji-ga--- PUFF!

(The gust of wind hits Jigglypuff, sends it into the air, and slams Jigglypuff on the ground.)

Jigglypuff: Puff…?

Danica: ARGH! Jigglypuff, return!

Dak: Beedrill return! Yes! I won!

(They both return their Pokémon to their balls.)

Molly: Way to go Dak!

Casey: Yeah, great job!

Danica: hmph! That was just luck! I'll see you again!

(Danica huffs over to her group and they all ride off.)

Dak: Yeah!

Aquachu: Chu!

[A little later…]

(They are all walking down the path, still excited from Dak's previous win with Danica. Then in front of them there is a fork in the road.)

Dak: Look…

(There is a sign, that says "ç Moon Trail - Mt. Moon cave route to Cerulean Cityè ." They can see the monstrous Mt. Moon ahead.)

Casey: I guess this is where we split…

Molly: What do you mean split?

Dak: Aren't you coming to Mt. Moon with us?

Casey: No, I'm going up the mountain, to find my own path to my destiny.

Dak: Well then, thanks for coming with us this far.

(They shake hands. Then Molly runs up and hugs Casey.)

Molly: Yeah, thanks!

(Casey let's Poliwag out of it's pokéball. Then Aquachu walks up to Poliwag.)

Aquachu: Chu aquachu. Aqua!

Poliwag: Poliwag wag poliwag!

(Aquachu hugs Poliwhirl.)

Casey: Well, maybe I'll see you guys around.

Dak: Yeah, I hope so.

Molly: Me too.

Aquachu: Aqua.

(Then they all wave to each other, as they go of into the distance.)

Narrator: Molly, Dak, and Aquachu all made friends. And Dak has two new pokémon. They have gone a long way so far, but really, this is only the beginning…
