Episode 3:

"Battle for the Boulder Badge!"

Narrator: Last time, our hero, Dak right away, caught the bug pokémon, Weedle. Then him and his friend, Molly, stumbled upon the cat pokémon, Meowth with the help of Aquachu. Later during a fight with a trainer, Dak chose Meowth as his pokémon and figured out that Meowth couldn't use his claws. After the victory, they met up with Team Rocket! Julie and Jeremy used their pokémon, the female and male Nidoran. The Rockets tried to steal Dak, and Molly's pokémon, but Meowth saved the day with his scratch, and bite attack. This fortunately led them to Pewter City!

[Pewter City; Daytime]

(Dak, Molly, and Aquachu are passing a sign that says, "Welcome to Pewter City.")

Dak: Finally, we're in Pewter City!

Molly: It took us long enough.

Aquachu: Chu…

(A girl in a Police outfit, closes a gate in front of the entrance to Pewter City. Then walks out in front of the gate.)

Dak: Hello.

Penny: Hi, I'm police officer Penny! I'm sorry, but we have heard that Team Rocket is near bye, so the mayor ordered us to check all people entering Pewter City, and check all pokémon licenses.

Dak: Okay.

Molly: Sure thing.

(Dak gets out his Pokédex, and Molly gets out her purple pokédex, and brings up their ID holograms.)

Penny: Well then, that’s great, but, do you own that pokémon?

Aquachu: Aqua.

Dak: Yeah.

Penny: Well, I haven't seen many people keep their pokémon out of their pokéballs, but if you don't mind me asking, what kind of pokémon is that? Is it a Pikachu, that got into some blue hair dye?

Molly: Oh no! He's an almost new species!

Dak: Yeah, I found his egg, back bye Viridian City, and Professor Oak said I could keep it as my own.

Penny: Professor Oak?! He's a great scientist. Almost all pokémon trainers that have been trained by him have done very well. Well I suppose I'll let you through.

(Penny opens the gate and the three enter Pewter City.)

Molly: Bye! Nice to meet you Penny!

Dak: Bye!

Penny: You too, bye!

(Dak, Molly, and Aquachu, are walking in the busy City of Pewter City.)

Dak: Now, here's a map of the city.

Molly: Where's the gym?

(Dak points to a dot on the map that says, city gym.)

Aquachu: Aquachu?

Dak: Hmm… It's on the other side of the city, let's get moving.

???: So, little Dak Itérius is a pokémon trainer, eh?

Dak: What?

(Dak turns around to see another trainer that is several inches taller than him.)

Dak: Brian?!

Molly: That's Brian?

Brian: Yes, Brian Beck, nice to meet you.

(Brian walks to Molly pushing Dak out of the way.)

Molly: Hello.

(Dak runs around and pushes in between Molly and Brian.)

Dak: What do you want?!

Brian: Oh nothing, it was just surprising to see Dak a pokémon trainer, that’s all.

Dak: What's so weird about it?!

Brian: How many pokémon do you have?

Dak: (under his breath.) … 3…

(Brian bursts out laughing.)

Brian: 3?! Only three?!

Dak: So what?

Brian: Take a look at this.

(Brian reveals his belt which has 6 pokéballs on it.)

Dak: You have six pokémon?!

Brian: Yup.

Molly: Which ones?

Brian: I'd be perfectly happy to show you two in a battle.

Dak: Okay! Let's go!

(Brian gets out his pokéball.)

Brian: Eevee, go!

(Eevee comes out of the pokéball.)

Eevee: Eevee!

Dak: Get 'em Aquachu!

Aquachu: Aquachu!

Brian: You have an Aquachu?!

Dak: Yeah!

Brian: Oh well, Eevee Tackle!

Eevee: Vee!

(Eevee jumps, and tackles Aquachu to the ground.)

Dak: Thunder Splash!

Aquachu: Chu!

(While on the ground Aquachu shoots a blast of water at Eevee, but Eevee quickly gets out of the way.)

Dak: Man!

Brian: Ha! Eevee, sand attack!

(Eevee begins to use her hind legs, and kicks up a cloud of sand in Aquachu's face.)

Aquachu: Aqua chu aqua!

(The dust slowly settles. And Aquachu is rubbing his eyes.)

Dak: Tackle 'em Aquachu!

(Aquachu runs and jumps for Eevee, but lands on the ground in front of Eevee.)

Molly: Aquachu missed!

Brian: Your Pokémon is going down!

Dak: Awe man!

Brian: Eevee, scratch him!

Eevee: Eevee!

(Eevee stand's on it's hind legs and scratches Aquachu repeatedly.)

Aquachu: Aquachu!

Dak: Aquachu comeback!

(Dak uses his extra pokéball and returns Aquachu, then lets him right out.)

Dak: Aquachu…

Molly: Poor Aquachu.

(Molly picks up Aquachu, and holds him close.)

Dak: That’s it!

Brian: What are ya gonna do now?

(Dak gets out another pokéball.)

Dak: Meowth, I choose you!

(Dak throws the pokéball and releases Meowth.)

Meowth: Meowth!

Brian: Eevee, tackle!

(Eevee runs at Meowth.)

Dak: Meowth, Scratch attack!

(Just as Eevee is about to hit Meowth, he quickly jumps over Eevee, and scratches him.)

Dak: Okay, Bite!

(Meowth quickly chomps down on Eevee's tail.)

Eevee: Eevee!!

Brian: Eevee, evasive attack!

(Eevee jumps up, fan flips Meowth into the air, and just as he is about to land on the ground, Eevee hits him and Meowth lands on his back.)

Brian: Okay Eevee, pound 'em!

(Eevee runs right into Meowth's side.)

Meowth: Meeeeoooowwth…

Dak: Awe man, Meowth return!

(Meowth enters his pokéball, and Dak gets out his last pokémon.)

Molly: Your only pokémon left is Weedle.

Dak: I know…Weedle, go!

(Dak let's out Weedle.)

Brian: Ha! Eevee return.

(Eevee enters it's pokéball.)

Brian: You call that a pokémon? I'll show you, a pokémon! Wartortle, go!

(Brian throws his pokéball, and Wartortle is released.)

Weedle: Weedle!!

Brian: Wartortle, tackle that bug with full power!

Dak: No!

(Wartortle runs at Weedle.)

Dak: Weedle return!

(Weedle is returned into it's pokéball right before Wartortle gets to it.)

Penny: Stop this right now!

(Wartortle stops right in his tracks. Penny walks up to the three trainers.)

Penny: It's against regulations to be fighting within the city limits, unless in an approved area, by the Pokémon League.

Dak: I'm sorry.

Penny: I'm surprised at you Brian, you just got a badge, you should know the rules.

Dak: What he has a badge?

Brian: That's right!

(Brian flashes his Boulder Badge.)

Penny: Okay this fight is over.

Brian: Wartortle, return!

(Wartortle enters his pokéball, and Brian gets on his bike.)

Brian: Well, I'm outa' here.

(Brian speeds away leaving a trail of dust.)

Penny: He sure can talk…

(Penny walks closer to Dak and Molly.)

Penny: Oh your poor little Aquachu…

Molly: We'd better get to a pokémon center.

Dak: Yeah, your right.

Penny: I'll give you a ride!

(They all walk over to Penny's car.)

Penny: Hop in!

(Dak and Molly get in the car, and the car speeds away.)

(They soon get to a pokémon center, and get out of the car.)

Dak: Thanks Penny!

Penny: Any time you two!

Molly: Yeah, bye!

(The two enter the Pokémon Center.)

Kate: Hello, how may I help you?

Dak: I need you to revive my pokémon.

Molly: Dak, I'll be right back.

Dak: Okay.

Kate: Okay… place your pokéballs here.

Dak: Aquachu, your gonna have to get into the pokéball.

Aquachu: Chuuu…

(Aquachu gives a sad face, and enters the pokéball.)

Dak: Here.

(Dak places his three pokéballs, on the tray.)

Kate: Can I have your name?

Dak: Dak Itérius.

Kate: Thank you! Chansey!

(A Chansey walks out from a room behind the desk.)

Chansey: Chansey, Chansey, Chansey.

Kate: Put these pokéballs in an incubator.

Chansey: Chansey.

(The Chansey picks up the tray, and takes it to the room behind.)

Kate: Your pokémon will be fighting fit, in about 20 minutes!

Dak: Thank you.

(Molly walks back.)

Dak: Well, I guess we can visit the Pokémart.

Molly: Good, we need some supplies.

[Inside Pokémart.]

(Dak and Molly walk in pick up a basket. And they browse through the store.)

Molly: Hmm… Vulpix likes these.

(Molly takes out some PokéChow.)

Dak: So does Aquachu. We'll definitely need some potions.

Molly: Right.

(Dak takes about 5 potions and sets them into his basket. Then he walks up to the counter, where a beautiful young lady stands.)

Dak: Uhhhh…. Hi!

(Dak's face turns bright red.)

Clerk: Hello, how are you? I am Donna the manager of this Pokémart!

Dak: Hi…

(Molly hits Dak on the head.)

Dak: Ow!

Molly: Well you shouldn't be drooling!

Dak: I wasn't!

Donna: Hee hee…

Dak: I'd like to purchase this, and three pokéballs please.

(Dak sets the basket on the counter.)

Donna: Okay, may I see your Pokémon License?

Dak: Sure.

(Dak takes out his pokédex and shows the license screen. Donna reaches under the counter and pulls out a barcode reader. She then scans the barcode, then walks over to a strange machine, where she types on a bunch of buttons.)

Donna: They will be ready in just a moment!

Dak: Thanks.

(Dak notices a sign that says, "New Energy Orbs!")

Dak: What are those.

Donna: Those are energy orbs.

Dak: Energy orbs?

Donna: They supply a pokémon with their special, power and boost it up!

Dak: Wow, how much are they?

Donna: Only ¥10,000 per orb.

Dak: Oh geeze…

Donna: The pokéballs are here.

(From the strange machine, three green pokéballs pop out of the machine.)

Donna: Is this all?

Dak: I suppose I'll take one water energy orb.

Donna: Okay.

(Donna rings up the items.)

Donna: Okay, is there anything else?

Dak: No.

Donna: Okay! The final price is ¥20,000.

Dak: Ugh…

(Dak makes a face.)

[Outside the Pokémart]

(Dak walks out with Molly.)

Dak: Man, that place cleaned me out.

Molly: Get used to it.

Dak: It's about time to pick up Aquachu and the others.

[Inside Pokécenter]

(Dak and Molly walk in, then walk to the front desk.)

Dak: Hello, I'd like my pokémon back please.

Kate: Okay, your name? Oh yeah! Dak!

Dak: Right.

(Kate presses a button on her computer and on the screen a Chansey appears.)

Kate: Can you please get Dak's pokémon?

Chansey: Chansey!

(Chansey walks out from the backroom with a tray of pokéballs.)

Kate: Here you go!

(Dak takes two of the pokéballs and shrinks them to the size of a quarter and hook them to his belt, then opens the last one and lets Aquachu out.)

Aquachu: Aquachu!

(Aquachu jumps on Dak's shoulders.)

Dak: Heh heh!

Molly: Aquachu sure does like you.

Dak: Your right, we're best friends. Thank you nurse Kate, thanks Chansey.

Kate: Anytime!

Chansey: Chansey!

(Dak and Molly walk out of the Pokémon Center, with Aquachu behind them.)

Dak: Okay, where's the gym?

Molly: Let's look here.

(Molly, and Dak look at a map of the city.)

Molly: It looks like it's near the museum of Mt. Moon.

(Molly looks at her watch.)

Molly: There's a bus that comes by in about… NOW!

(A bus drives by.)

Dak: Let's go!

Aquachu: Aquachu!

(They all run after the bus.)

Dak: Stop!

Molly: Wait for us!

(The bus finally stops and they enter the bus.)

Molly: Whew!

Dak: That was close…

Aquachu: Aqua.

(Molly and Dak sit down and Aquachu gets on Dak's lap. Dak gets out his pokédex.)

Dak: According to this, the gym leader gives away the Boulder Badge.

Molly: What's so important about the boulder badge?

Dak: It's my first step to becoming a pokémon master!

Molly: Oooh…

Dak: I can't wait! It also says that the gym leader must use rock pokémon.

Molly: Your Aquachu will have a definite advantage.

Dak: Yeah!

(The bus stops with a sudden jolt and the three fly into the seat in front of them.)

BusDriver: Pewter City Gym!

(Molly and Dak get up.)

Dak: This is our stop! Come on Aquachu.

Aquachu: Chu!

(The three get of the bus, and the bus drives away. Then Molly and Dak look before them to see the very big Pokémon Gym.)

Dak: Wow…

Molly: This place is huge.

Aquachu: Aquachu, aqua.

(The three head toward the front door, and along the way they see rock statues of many different rock pokémon.)

Dak: This place is amazing.

(They reach the door, and Dak opens it up, and the three walk in. Inside, there is a man standing.)

Dak: Excuse me, but I would like to battle the leader of this gym.

Man: Okay, but the leader is busy fighting right now. It will only be a few minutes.

Dak: Okay.

Molly: Look at this Dak.

(Dak walks over to a pillar where Molly is standing, on the pillar is a plaque.)

Molly: It says, Current Gym Leader: Trent.

Dak: Good! I'm ready for him!

Aquachu: Chu, Aquachu, Aqua!!

(The door to the fighting area swings open and trainer holding his Pidgey runs out.)

Molly: Are you sure?

(Dak stands in awe. But then his face becomes serious.)

Dak: I'm sure! I'm going to be a pokémon master!

Man: You can enter…

(Dak and Molly walks in with Aquachu. Inside, Molly sits to the side.)'

Dak: Hello?

(At the end of the very big room, a boy sits in a chair.)

Trent: So, you want to battle?

Dak: Yes, I want to battle you for a boulder badge!

Trent: Okay then.

(Trent and Dak step up to the mat, get into their trainer squares.)

Trent: Okay, we will use two pokémon each.

Dak: Agreed!

Molly: Good luck Dak.

Dak: Thanks.

Announcer: Okay, the battle will now begin, fighters, choose your pokémon.

Dak: Weedle, I choose you!

Weedle: Weedle!

Trent: Ha! Geodude, go!

Geodude: Geodude!

(Dak throws his pokéball, and Weedle comes out, then Geodude appears.)

Dak: Geodude…

(Dak quickly gets out his pokédex.

Pokédex: Geodude, a rock pokémon,

Trent: Geodude, tackle!

Geodude: Dude!

Dak: Weedle, evasive maneuvers!

Weedle: Weedle!!

(Geodude flies at Weedle, but Weedle scurries out of the way.)

Molly: (thinks) Come on Dak.

Trent: Geodude, ground slam!

Geodude: Geodude!

(Geodude flies to the ceiling of the gym and then falls to the ground. Then hits the ground, the ground shakes and Weedle falls on his side.)

Dak: Weedle, get up!

Weedle: Weed…

Trent: Geodude, tackle!

Geodude: Geo.

(Geodude tackles Weedle in the side and the ground face first.)

Dak: Weedle!

Trent: Finish him off with a boulder punch!

(Geodude swings his fists back, and bolts towards Weedle.)

Dak: Uhh… Weedle, string shot!

Weedle: Weedle!

(Weedle spits out string and it wraps around Geodude, it gets thicker and thicker, and Geodude, slows down.)

Trent: What!?

(After completely covering Geodude in string, Geodude hits the ground.)

Dak: Good job!

Trent: Man! Geodude, return. That was just a lucky win. Try this, Graveler, go!

(Trent releases Graveler from his pokéball.)

Graveler: Graveler!!!

Dak: Weedle, return. Aquachu, it's your turn!

(Weedle returns to his pokéball, and Aquachu enters the arena.)

Aquachu: Aqua!

Trent: An Aquachu?! What?!

Dak: That’s right, an Aquachu!

Trent: It doesn't matter, Graveler seismic toss!

(Graveler runs and grabs onto Aquachu.)

Dak: Aquachu, counter attack!

(Aquachu slips out of Graveler's arms, and slams down on Graveler's head.)

Trent: Earthquake Graveler!

Graveler: Gravel!!

(Graveler pounds on the ground, and Aquachu falls down.)

Trent: Graveler, rock punch!

(Graveler bounces over to Aquachu and hits him into the air.)

Aquachu: Aqua!

Dak: Aquachu! Don't worry, try your Thunder Attack!

(Aquachu opens up his mouth and releases a cloud that fills the room at the ceiling. Graveler and Trent both look up.)

Dak: Okay Aquachu, do it!

Aquachu: Chu!

(Aquachu electrifies his cheeks then sends it into the cloud, the cloud turns pitch black, and begins to rumble.)

Dak: Aquachu release energy!

(A giant bolt of lightning comes out of the cloud and strikes Graveler.)

Graveler: Graveler!

Molly: (Thinks) Come on Dak, electricity isn't good against rock, use Aquachu's water attacks.

Trent: Graveler, bind!

(Graveler gets right back up, and grabs Aquachu by the neck and slams him against the ground.)

Graveler: Graveler!

Dak: Oh no! Aquachu, electrocute him!

(Aquachu tries to electrocute Graveler, but nothing happens.)

Trent: Ha ha ha!

Dak: Aquachu!

(Graveler squeezes Aquachu even harder.)

Dak: Oh no! I can't do anything!

(Dak opens his backpack and browses through it. Then he takes out the energy orb.)

Dak: I forgot about this…

Trent: Admit it, this battle is over!

Aquachu: Chu…

Dak: Not yet! Energy orb, go!

(Dak throws the water energy orb into the air, the energy orb hits Aquachu, then it absorbs into Aquachu.)

Trent: Wha?

(Aquachu glows then suddenly breaks away from Graveler.)

Aquachu: Aquachu!

Dak: That’s it! Aquachu needs to use his water powers to defeat him!

Graveler: Gravel!

Dak: Aquachu, use your full power Thunder Splash!

Aquachu: Chu!

(Aquachu shoots a spout of water at Graveler, that pins him against the wall.)

Trent: Graveler!

Dak: Okay Aquachu, Monsoon Attack!

(Aquachu looks at the black cloud that is still floating near the gym ceiling.)

Aquachu: Aquaaaaaa chuu!!

(Aquachu let's out a blaze of electricity and water into the black cloud. Then the cloud quickly grows bigger and opens up, letting out gallons of electrified water.)

Trent: What?!

(The water hits Graveler, and he tries to get away but cant.)

Graveler: Graveler!!!

(The water soon drains out, and the cloud goes away, in the middle of the floor, Graveler is laying on it's side, and Aquachu is standing still in a fighting stance.)

Trent: Graveler, return!

Announcer: The winner, is trainer Dak!

Dak: Yeah!

Molly: Way to go!

(Dak runs to the center of the ring, and Aquachu and Dak embrace in a hug.)

Aquachu: Aquachu!

Dak: Aquachu, I knew you could do it!

(Molly runs into the ring and pats Aquachu's head.)

Molly: Good job Aquachu!

(Trent walks over to Molly, Dak, and Aquachu.)

Trent: Good job Dak!

(Dak gets up and shakes Trent's hand.)

Dak: Thank you!

Trent: You deserve this!

(Trent hands Dak the Boulder Badge. Dak takes the badge, and pins it to his belt.)

Trent: You are a definitely good trainer. You love your pokémon more than anything in the world.

Dak: That's right!

[Exit from Pewter City to Entrance to Route 3]

(Dak is putting the rest of his supplies into his bag, while Molly plays with Aquachu. Penny comes walking up.)

Penny: It was good to meet you Dak, you too Molly.

Molly: The pleasure was ours!

Dak: Yeah, I'm really happy now that I have my first badge!

(Aquachu runs up to Penny.)

Aquachu: Aqua!

Penny: I see Aquachu is feeling better.

Dak: Yeah, my pokémon just got out of the center.

Penny: That's good.

(Penny pet's Aquachu.)

Dak: Well we'd better get going, Brian has a bike, so we need to move fast.

Penny: Well good luck!

Dak: Thanks, bye!

Molly: Bye!

Penny: Bye!

(Dak, Aquachu, and Molly start on the path.)

Narrator: Now that Dak has his first Badge he is ready to conquer the world of Pokémon. He is sure to have many more wild adventure, and catch many more pokémon. See what perils and adventures the trio will come upon, on Pokémon Hyper! Oh yeah, where is Team Rocket?

[Near the Exit of Pewter City.]

(Jeremy, Julie, and Spearow look around.)

Julie: Where did those little brats go?

Jeremy: I'm not sure…

Julie: What are they're names again?

Jeremy: Uh… Dak and Molly?

(Officer Penny comes out of nowhere.)

Penny: Oh they just left a few minutes ago.

Julie+Jeremy: Officer Penny!

Jeremy: We have to go!

Julie: Yeah! Uh… Nice Seeing you!

(Julie and Jeremy run of onto Route 3 with Spearow fluttering behind.)

Spearow: We really need to work on your timing skills!
