Rated R for Sexual content! Part two * * * * * * * Kerry woke up with a splitting headache. She rolled over placing her hands to her head. Whatever possessed her to drink that much last night she thought hazily. I've got to stop drinking, that's all there is to it. She thought blearily as she glared at the alarm clock. Thank God she didn't have to work today, today she was just going to recover. The sunshine seemed brighter than she was used to. She dragged her quilt over her head, refusing to let the light attack her eyes so viciously. She felt her bed move, almost as if someone was sitting on the side of her bed. "What the hell are you doing in here!" Kerry asked suddenly. John chuckled, he was almost positive she was going to react like this. "Bringing you aspirin." He replied with a slight tone of laughter still in his voice. He watched as she sat up suddenly then stopped all movements. "God, what was I thinking last night." She glanced over at John and moving extremely carefully grabbed the aspirin and the glass of water out of his hands. "You are a godsend!" she told him after gulping down the aspirin. She was relieved for some reason only her head hurt, right about now she should be having a terrible bout of queasiness also. She drained the glass spilling a few drops on her arm. Looking down at the water spots she noticed that the only thing she was wearing was a sheet, and this sheet was only covering her legs. She hastily grabbed the top edge of it to cover her bare breasts, blushing furiously she deliberately avoided John's face. "You know, it's a bit late to be shy on me now!" John told her then leaned over and nuzzled her neck. Kerry stayed right were she was. She was positive she was in a dream. IF she was dreaming, then she had no intention of waking up. This is just a dream, she told herself. It has to be a dream! She felt him move closer to her on the bed, his hands gently caressing her sides through the thin sheet, his lips nuzzling her neck and inching their way downward. It was then that she realized. This was no DREAM! "John stop." She halfheartedly told him. She moved his head gently up to her eye level and looked him deeply in the eyes. Those eyes she thought, those incredibly handsome, sexy eyes. "Are you sure?" he grinned wickedly at her, then deliberately kissed her deeply. He pulled away then started nibbling a nice hot trail down her neck. "That's not what you said last night!" his deep voice was muffled by her neck. Again she pulled his head back up to stare intently into his eyes. She told him half in earnest, half in passion, "John we have to stop this!" He ignored her words and continued kissing a trail down her neck, his lips and his hands traveled lower. Oh god, please don't stop she thought to herself, the last thing she wanted was for him to stop what he was doing. Come on be strong she told herself. You can do this Weaver! You can make him, oh god, she hazily thought as he kissed a trail across her stomach. He looked at her suddenly. "I'll stop if you really want me to." Kerry's reasoning fled out the door then. The last thing she remembered telling him before passion over took her completely was. "Hell no, Don't stop!" * * * * * * * * * * Several hours later * * * * * * * * * * Kerry sat at the table. Whatever had possessed her last night. Well, last night and this morning she thought. She stared at her eggs, her embarrassment obvious on her face. John sat next to her. "We need to talk!" he told her quietly. She looked up. "its not that…." She trailed off, wondering exactly how to tell him. "I know!" He replied. "but we still have to deal with it." "It can't happen again!" She told him seriously, visions of how wonderful he had been, both last night and this morning danced before his eyes. Was she serious she thought, turning down what could be so much fun and passion for them both. I’ve completely lost my mind, she thought to herself, this explains so much. I've lost my mind and I'm completely insane. "I think that maybe," he quietly told her, "maybe it should happen again!" he grinned at the look on her face. Half desire, half irritation. For some reason he had never truly appreciated just how utterly sexy Kerry was. His eyes swept over her short sexy red hair, they paused on her luscious lips. Yes, she was sexy all right. He knew he should have stopped her last night, but after her first kiss he was so shocked, who was he kidding he told himself. He had wanted her for months, but had figured that Kerry would be the last person to ever see him, as anything but a fellow employee, a young kid to boot. "Last night was.." Kerry searched for the correct word, not even sure how to describe what last night had been like. "last night was .. unexpected." She finally said to him, still trying to describe how she felt. "but we can't do this again!" she firmly told him, her eyes alighted upon his face, his oh so kissable face! She watched as John's face suddenly became a blank to her, his eyes however still shone with desire and need. "We can't John. I'm your supervisor. We work together! There is no way that something like this like.." She trailed off, not sure how she was going to explain it to him. To her complete surprise he agreed with her. "Your right. I won’t say a word. But Kerry," John stopped suddenly leaned across the table to where she sat and kissed her hard and lovingly on the lips. "I'll be a good boy, and not touch you, but that can't stop me from wanting you!" Abruptly he moved away from the table, walked towards the door. As he neared the door he stopped and stood there his eyes glittering in the morning sunshine. “and Kerry?” she looked up confusion evident on her face. “When you decide you want to continue where we left off this morning, you know where to find me.” Kerry was left to ponder exactly what was going on between them. She worried that they would never get on the easier footing that they had been on before. She watched his back retreating, his back that she had so lovingly touched last night and again this morning. I will not think like this, she told herself, as she left the table and put her plate in the sink. I refuse to let Hormones drive a wedge between myself and a friend. I refuse to let my overactive hormones ruin his career. She limped sadly down the corridor towards her bedroom. 'No matter how much I want to force him to come back and let me have my way with him.' * * * * * * * * Several months later * * * * * * * * Kerry and John had tentatively made an unspoken agreement to say on their own side of the house. They barely spoke. The first few days after they had been together, they had consciously spent as little time together in the house as possible. Arranging their schedules at work so that they wouldn't have to speak or be with each other as much as possible. It didn't stop the longing, however. Once Kerry would walked in to find John watching a TV show, she had watched him for several moments before he realized she was standing there. Momentarily she would remember how he felt and what kind of delicious torture his hands had brought her. By the look in his eyes she knew he was thinking the same thing. Just a few steps she would think, just a few steps would end this torment. Saying nothing she had left the room, but she had thought about him all evening. Sometimes when she was working she would glance over and see him standing there, a certain glint in his eyes, it would take all the self restraint she knew not to trip him there in the hallway and kiss him senseless. This morning had been no exception. They had both drawn the same shift. Kerry had walked into the kitchen to find him hard at work, his strong hands were slicing bread, he was unaware of how dammed good looking he was. Wearing a dark pair of slacks and darker shirt, one with half sleeves. She could easily see the muscles in his arms. His slender fingers seemed almost to caress the knife. She watched his eyes darken as he looked up to see her face. "I'm making breakfast, you want some?" he asked her suddenly, his voice deep and husky as it always was in the morning. It took all the self control she had not to sweep the bread off the counter and attack him there. ************************************* The thoughts of him in her kitchen this morning invaded her thoughts throughout her work day. She turned her attention back to the task at hand. This frustration is ruining my attention span. I am going to have to do something about it. Unfortunately the one thing she didn't want to do was ask John to leave, it was the one thing she was sure would stop this frustration from getting out of hand, on some level she knew that if she asked him he would go, but then where would that leave her? She hastily responded to the patients query. "Sorry Mr. Robinson, could you repeat that." Once again she chastised herself for the thoughts she was thinking and pulled her attention back to her work. * * * * * * * * * Several hours later * * * * * * * * * Kerry entered the lounge intent only on getting a cup of tea. She placed a small cup full of water into the microwave and turned the dial, waiting impatiently for her cup of tea. "Kerry do you have a moment." Mark asked her suddenly. When Kerry looked up, she noticed that Mark was wearing a nice shirt, a button downed affair. Light blue, with long sleeves he looked almost dressed up. She could even smell the cologne he usually wore. She curiously wondered if he was wearing his clogg things. She glanced down circumspectly, for a change he had on decent shoes. He had known he was in the room, but hadn't wanted to say much. Her embarrassment was overflowing today she thought. . Mark had been avoiding her since that night. To be truthful she told herself she had been avoiding him as much as he had been avoiding her. "DO you have a moment. I’d like to uh, discuss what happened that night." Mark told her hesitantly. Kerry’s eyes went blank. Think, think, think. She had to nip this in the bud. There was no way she was going to have a repeat of her scene with Carter. There had to be a way to get him to shut up and never mention her drinking habits again. Her eyes suddenly went from the microwave to his face. "Mark, don't! We were both consenting adults, over the age of 18." She told him suddenly. "It's not like we both didn’t know what we..." She broke off her sentence suddenly when Chuni walked into the room. Sensing the rather tense air she hastily mumbled something about needing a candy bar placed her money in the machine glancing behind her the entire time. They both watched Chuni grab the candy bar and leave the room hastily. Kerry waited for to completely leave the lounge before taking out her cup from the microwave. She placed a tea bag inside, suddenly not wanting to drink it at all. She went through the motions having no intentions of drinking it but wanting to keep her hands busy. Mark glanced at the chart he held. He really wasn't seeing it. he looked up when Kerry glanced from her tea cup over to him, observing the slight blush on his face. "You know.. It doesn't really matter. As long as you are happy with Elizabeth. Isn't that what’s important." She told him quietly. She remembered his kiss and the events that had occurred afterwards. "I'm going to forget that it ever happened." She told him briskly, "and I suggest you do the same thing also." She grabbed her cane, leaving her cup of tea on the counter and marched briskly out of the room. Never realizing that as she did Mark's eyes followed her the entire way. ![]() |
