The Valiant Class of system defense boat is typical of locally built
system defense boats in that it's fast, tough, and packs a nice punch
against its opponents. Sporting 4 triple beam lasers and 4 triple missile
turrets, it doesn't sacrifice offensive capabilities for agility. And
it's a bit spacious inside for its 25 sophont crew, lending itself to
extended cruising before needing reoutfitting. Its survivability is high
as well, the bulky Tech 10 armor taking incoming fire well at Factor 9.
Price is a good factor as well, its 850 million Reals price tag means
it costs less than 450 MCr Imperial.
The Gralyn Union built an unspecified number of these boats, designated
officially by hull numbers, unofficially named by their 'keel owner'
crews. The Gralyn Defense Forces officially ignores these unofficial
designations while unofficially endorsing them.
