ThirdGen TM/HM List -- Saturday, January 21, 2006

Last September I said I was going to list all of the moves in the game so that I could easily use them when making the Pokédex, so I started by making a TM/HM List. Right now the list is incomplete, but I decided to put it up anyways because I might not work on it for a while.

I'm growing tired of these repatative annoying tasks which I have to do because my website is made in Notepad. Every time I have to do something more than five times, I start thinking about how a programmer would solve this problem. People running large websites purchase software to help them make their websites and the software pays for itself when the webmasters get money from running advertisements on their site. Programmers write their own software to do what they need to get done.

Taking the parts I like the most: I want to be a programmer and make myself custom software to aid myself in making a website. I'm going to make myself some software blueprints and find a way to make it a reality.

Have I run out of things to do? -- Saturday, January 21, 2006

For the past hour, I've been looking around my website for things to do, and I can't find anything I need to do except for the Pokédex and Trainers Guides. Being the lazy person I am, I want to put those things off until everything else is done. I guess its time to look back at my Site Updates Archive for things which I promised I would do...

The Guestbook Keeps Me Going -- Thursday, January 19, 2006

I've recently finished uploading all of the animated Pokémon icons and Pokédex pages to display them. Then I modified some of the pages to use the animated icons instead of the old Mewheart ones. Then I started describing the rest of the photos which I took at the Pokémon Center in New York; I figured if I didn't write about them, I would eventually forget what they meant to me. As I was going to upload the new page describing the rest of the photos and keep a lid on it, I decided to check my Guestbook and see if anyone left a message (they rarely do, but I have to check anyways). There was a guy or girl who left me a message, so I guess I'm doing all right.

Anyhow, the next one goes out to all people who sign my guestbook and to the people who are reffering me even when I don't know who you are.

A Happy New Year -- Tuesday, January 3, 2006

Wow. I haven't done anything with the website for over three months; allow me to explain. A few months ago I was visiting Pokémon.com and I saw their Pokémon Rocks America articles. Apparently, Pokémon Rocks America was happening in my town, and I missed it by less than a week. If I had known about it at the time, then I would have gone and gotten Lugia, Ho-oh, and Deoxys! This is the most dissapointing thing that has ever happened to me! And since I was so disspointed, I decided not to touch my Gameboy until my wounds have been healed. Now that it is three months later, I don't feel so bad about it and I can continue working on my website.

As you all know, I don't cover Nintendo DS & Gamecube Games besides Pokémon Colossuem. So the only thing left for me to do is to write everything I know about the current games I have. I actually did not have a copy of Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon Stadium 2 until a few weeks ago when I bought Crystal at EBGames and Stadium 2 at an internet pawn shop. I was in need of a refreshment for my Pokémon knowledge anyways. The first two generations of Pokémon games are a real pain for perfectionists when you aren't able to organize Pokémon and store items in the Stadium 2 PC. Trading Pokémon between RBY and GSC was also very time consuming. Now I can do it all very quickly.

What I'm trying to say is that absolutely nothing is stopping me from working on the website. The website layout is 95%, the data is 90%, but the information (or website content) is only 15%. Which means I just have to pour my knowledge into the website and it will be done. The problem is only that I am taking a break right now and might not work on it until March.

Most likely I'll be back before March, so don't even worry about it.
