New Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire Section -- Thursday, March 31, 2005
For the past 3 days I have been working on optimizing the website's HTML code. I realized that I made a simple mistake in every information page for the Pokémon Games sections, and I finally realized that there was something wrong with the <TABLE> code that I have been using to list Pokémon along with their moves.
That means I made very small changes to the Pokémon Center NY Section, I created a Special Pokémon Eggs section under Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire, and I now have a better idea on how to make the layout for my Pokédex.
Next week I will be fixing some other mistakes that I noticed today, but don't count on any major updates until later next month. Its time to go take that Pokémon Emerald test. I'll probably suck at the test, but I will post my score up in the next update.
Some Pokémon Emerald Stuff -- Sunday, March 28, 2005
I had planned to work on berry stuff last weekend but I had to go to my grandparents' house to visit for a long weekend. While I was bored, I learned new things about Pokémon RSE & FRLG. I want to make something similar to the "Game Mechanics" section at Serebii.net, but I don't want to call it "Game Mechanics" because it feels like the name is missing something plus the fact that someone will think I am stealing from Serebii.net (Serebii loyalists I suppose). I realize that much of the stuff in the Gameboy Advance games are shared and I shouldn't make separate pages for what is the same thing in more than one game.
So about Pokémon Emerald: The official site said that the release date is going to be May 1st. There is a promotion that if you reserve your copy Pokémon Emerald, you will get "Frontier Battle Gear" for free. It is a small tin case containing a VIP card for PokémonEmeraldVIP.com and a booklet with information on the Battle Frontier area of the game. I took some box art from PokémonCenter.com, so now I added the North American information to my Pokémon RSE Section.
It is too late to mention this, but I recently found out that there is a "Frontier Battle Brain Contest" going on at the Official Pokémon Emerald Website. I will try my luck and enter the competition on the last day, which is March 31 (March 30th to be safe). The test looks so extremely tough, I am afraid I don't stand a chance against the people who probably cheated by looking at a Pokédex online or even in their game. It couldn't hurt to try.
AGAIN? No Updates Again? -- Sunday, March 6, 2005
I've really haven't been busy or free over the past two weeks. I played my Leaf Green game up to Cinnibar Island and then I gave it to my brother so he can beat the rest of the game and finally see what the new islands are like. This time around he has a lvl70 Ninetails and a lvl50 Lapras. He shouldn't have any problems beating the rest of the game. All he needs is the free time to do it.
For most of the week I was playing Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and mostly Final Fantasy VIII. I also got a new cable that lets me connect my Xbox controller to my computer so I can now play my emulated games like the way they were meant to be. I spent a couple of days trying to set up the controller to work perfectly with most of my computer games. I played Mario Party 6 with my brother, and I played the Xbox version of Counter-Strike with my friends from school. I borrowed Halo 2 from a friend but returned it after 3 days since I thought it was boring. So as you can see, I have been having lots of fun and I feel very good today.
