Game RulesAhhh, come on ma, everyone else is doing it.
Vampires
1. Vampires in BloodMoon can not see their reflections. Vamps can not see their reflections, because according to legends, they do not have souls. Unless a vampire has some magical power, and he/she wants to waste their time on a magical spell to make themselves fit into the world of the mortals, no vampire can see his/her reflection. Vampires do not have souls. Please no Brood Boys allowed.
2. There are only a few ways that we will allow vampires to be killed. Legends have all kinds of nifty rituals, etc. that need to be performed. We like to make things simple, here at BloodMoon. For this RPG, let us assume that the only ways to kill a vampire are:
a) Wooden stake through the heart
b) Holy Water (in excess quantities)
c) Beheadings
d) Sunlight (if they are not a day walker)
e) Fire
3. Vampires while, they are demons, or possessed by demons, by definition may decide their own fate. Is your charcter bitter about the past, blood-thirsty, out to revenge a wrong done them in the past, or are they simply misundertood (I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way).
4. The only mortals allowed in this RPG are the Watchers. Everyone else must be a vampire, or some other kind of dark immortal creature.
5. If a member of Los Vigilantes de la Noche crosses over, they are not twice as strong as any normal vampire. Yes, Watchers are exceptionally strong--for mortals--but for vampires, strength comes with age.
6. Joss Whedon reigns supreme. Death=Dusted.
Watchers
The only mortals in the BloodMoonRPG, are watchers. Their duty is to protect the innocent and defend the weak by ridding the world of the evil curse of the night walkers--The Vampires. Whether by birth, by choice, or by accident, watchers have sworn to fight as long as this evil society claims the innocent night. Even if they die in their quest, Los Vigilantes will go on. Others will rise and be called into their places. They will never back down. They will never waver. They will save the world from damnation.
Mortals may come to the city and be part of our RPG, but only if a) they will be joining a clan soon (insert evil Vincent Price laughter here) or b) they are a watcher, and they just do not quite know about their calling, yet.
