Thera is the third daughter and youngest child of Canio and Elena Di Nerezza's children. Her name means "wild darkness." She is very much a "mob princess" as she adores being pampered, but does not take kindly to defiance of her or her clan. She adores her family, and is especially close to her oldest sister Daya.

Thera is deadly in her causes. Very few tangle with the youngest Di Nerezza, and those who have rarely live to tell the tale, or care to share it after their ordeal. Thera often acts before she thinks. She finds this a weakness and is continually trying to curb this behavior. She very much has the Italian temperment for which her family is famous. She is very loyal to her family in all that she does, but she is not easily orchestrated by them. Her happiness is very important to her, and she lets nothing stand in its way, including her father. He does not particularly approve of his youngest's choice of a mate, nor much of her friends, but Thera is determined to change his mind on these subjects.

Thera was born during the late 1500's and has gained much experience. The 'Golden Girl' of the Di Nerezza clan as with most vampires who are 'natural born' either through birth or embrace, does not remember her past. Whether this is by subconcsious choice is no matter to her, the simple fact is that she can not remember who she was before she became Thera Di Nerezza. As a matter of fact, she has never thought of this fact before. She has no conscious memory of anything other than her life as a vampire. And as with most natural born vampires, she really does not care to explore her life as it was before she became.

Her opinion is very much valued among the younger set in the vampire community. Many say that Royal blood runs deep in the Di Nerezza family. Whether there is any truth to this, remains a mystery, but Thera very much lives as a modern-day princess. She dresses in the latest fashions, and loves nothing more than to go shopping with her sister Daya, or her friend Adrienne Delano.

Thera and Adrienne Delano share a special bond. The two both love men, whom their clans disapprove of, and they have formed a bond over this, as well as their magical powers. Thera use to join Adrienne and Aerin, as well as another vamp princess, Persephone Andraste, in their conjuring of mischief, until the day that Persephone died (or did she?). Since that time, Thera has ignored her powers, including her ability to read minds.

Thera also had a strong bond with Serenity Di Nerezza. Thera is Serena's sire. The two were mortal enemies before Serenity became, as she had killed many of the more important members of Thera's clan. Serenity was a fierce warrior watcher, and Thera was glad that the younger girl had joined her clan. The two had shared a special bond, or so the Golden Girl of the Di Nerezza clan believed. As Bishop sought to take over the city, Serenity slipped away with her lover, Swan Marsters Priscus. It has taken time for Thera to cope with her daughter's disappearance and the fact that she must now disown her baby girl.

Thera has other children all of whom she adores. Sita Di Nerezza is her little fire bug. Always keeping her mother in check and protecting her little sister Jolie. Thera has also sired Daemon, a quiet seeming but just the same over protective vampire. And finally there is Chandler. She seeks nothing more than his approval, even if she won't admit it to herself. He is an ex-lover and Thera highly values his opinion.

Thera's one true love is Marcqean Priscus. Marc is older than Canio Di Nerezza and is perpetually away on family business. And like many of his clan he is a very private person. Even Thera does not know all that has happened to this ancient vampire. When Marc was at his lowest, Thera happened upon him, and held him in her penetrating sweet eyes. From that moment on, he was hers, and she his. Thera would do anything for Marc's happiness.
