The History of the Starhammer Clan
Written by Rishkoff
In ancient times of the Greek the centaurs were a wild and savage race of drunkards and vandals. Only relatively recently did they form into organized clans and family circles.
Centaurs were very numerous back then. But it seemed that simply war and time wore away at the numbers of the Centaurs. The Amazon race and the Centaurs had been at war since prehistory, and the Amazons gained the upper hand when the Trojans allied with them. The city of Troy fell, however, to the Greeks and the Amazon lost that upper hand. However, their time of power cost the centaurs dearly. Contrary to popular belief, it was the Centaurs who decided to end their wars. The wise ones were tired of this futile battle, and one day, simply sighed, and trotted off the battlefield, despite indignant protests from the battle-hungry Amazons.
From that day on, the wars between the Amazons and Centaurs were "over." There was no treaty signed and such, but their armies never clashed again. The entirety of the Centaur race, which were at the time situated around Italy and Greece, went their separate ways across the world. The Amazons, thinking they had won Greece away from their dreaded foe, partied for a while, got drunk, and many of them choked on their vomit that night. Starhammer was a very minute family at the time, and shipped to Ireland, where they settled in cliffside caves. It was the fact that they were lesser known that perhaps saved them.
In the following generations, multiple Amazonian raids began to decrease the numbers of the centaur. In less than a thousand years, the Starhammer clan represented one of the few remaining centaur clans. Immediately upon hearing of the destruction of their brethren, the Starhammer clan set out to ensure that they did not suffer the same fate. A group of centaurs set out to find the legendary land of Atlantis, only to find that it had sunk several years earlier. The centaurs were quite lost at that point, and landed at the nearest patch of land they found. By pure luck, this was Antarctica, and there they found the Ice Witches of Malkedor. The Ice Witches pointed them in the right direction of Kalasia, the nearest outpost, and escorted them there. A treaty with Starhammer was made immediately by the Atlanteans. It was quite unfortunate when the Hunters and the Sisters of Circe destroyed the outposts some time later, and the Starhammer Clan became a haven to any Atlanteans who wished to live there. They harboured several refugees. Many years later, Starhammer assisted in the construction of Lan Mesinsure, the newest Atlantean outpost.
The current ambassador to Atlantis is my son Aaroanan, who is currently living there.
