"Orson Welles' gripping study of corruption and morality, set in a small town just across the Mexican-American border. A powerful police captain, who has framed a young Mexican for the bombing murder of a prominent American businessman, finds his authority challenged by an upright Mexican narcotics detective. But the detective learns that some things are not as obvious as they appear at first viewing."
That was trhe description on the video. In all honestty, it is one of the best low budget films ever made. Leigh is at her finest, as is Orson Welles. There is many interesting plot twists, and lots of debauchery to satisfy even the shortest attention spans.
