PSYCHO (1998)

This film suffered what most remakes suffered. A remake was intended to add to or even better the film preceding it. This didn't do either. I can't say it wasn't good. It was. If this as indeed not a remake of a film, it may have even bordered on great. The problem was, it couldn't hold a candel to the film that preceed it, and that was its demise. Also, Vince Vaughn seemed almost too innocent to be Norman Bates (though he did do a halfway decent job). I think in all essence, they tried too hard with this film. Not bad movie to see, but definately not a must-see. 1
