Claude Rains owns this film! The acting is so superb and the special effects are actually quite good! (even by today's standards!) He plays a mad scientist that makes himself invisible, and therefore utter bedlam ensues. At first, he commits childish pranks, but soon he's after world domination!
The plot isn't strong, but he makes the movie positively enjopyable.
