Repeated warnings to stay away from the camp that had grizzley events occur 20 years prior to this film did not discourage the dumber than bricks teenage counselors in this movie. Camp Crystal Lake...a place which was intended by the teens to simply have gratuitous sex turns into Camp O' Insanity when someone is lurking in the woods plotting a evenge for distubing the camp's grisley past.
I'll say it right here. I never did care for the Jason flicks. Yes he's psycho, but I need a little more sophistication for a horror movie than a random psycho that slashes teenages humping in the woods. The reason that I did like this movie is because it wasn't even Jason that was the killer...it was his mother. That provided quite an interesting twist to the movie and quite frankly was the only interesting twist in the series.
