FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN

Again...two skulls for the hysterical title! This was a 1974 spin off of Frankenstein. "Dr. Frankenstein pieces together a "his and hers" set of perfect humanoid specimens, but is confronted by the dedicated friend of one of the people from whom he gathered parts. This incredibly unusual horror satire, produced by Andy Warhol, was originally presented in 3-D and features a great over-the-top performance from Udo Kier. Plenty of laughs and shocks await the adventurous and the not-so-easily offended." This is the description on the video/DVD. I actually expected this to be worse than it was. I was actually pleasantly surprised! Andy Warhol did a decent job on this film. It is bloody and gory (more so than most Frankenstein films) so as far as keeping with tradition, it loses serious points. Not a must-see...but not a bad-see. 1
