In the beginning of this movie we meet Brayker (William Sadler), a man on the run. As the story progresses we find out he is a warrior who fights against the "demons in the darkness", who is fighting against the evil "Collector" (Billy Zane).
The nightmare comenses in an old boarding house and many of the residents become a part of this spiritual clash. The landord, Irene and assistant, Jeryline become his most powerful allies to defeat the Collector at his own game. (And of course, in true Tales From the Crypt fashion, others become allies as well but quickly die brutal deaths.)
