REVIEW AND SYNOPSIS

When I saw this movie, I wanted to applaud. First of all, 23 years later, Sissy Spacek returns as her role of Carie White! That alone made this movie too good. Amy Irving returns as Sue Snell (again...23 years later!). Rachel is a normal teenager...providing that when a normal teenager gets angry she can move things with her mind. There are countless flashbacks to the original movie which propels the story nicely. The plot was very similar. Rachel (our mind-moving chick) is the outcast at school. Jesse ends up falling for her, but his friends have other things in mind (like public humiliation). The only reason this was a bomb at the box office was that everyone ASSUMED it was going to suck. If you liked the first, you'll love the second. 1
