Introduction

The revelation's effect on the United States is not all bad however. People finding that Xavier was a mutant changed many minds, now the U.S. has un-officially split into two sides again. From states mostly unfriendly to mutants, with laws against them and prison camps; to states mostly friendly to mutants, where they are allowed in society.
Working with renowned scientist Moira McTaggert; Henry P. McCoy, better known as the X-Men's bouncing blue Beast, has finally found a cure for the Legacy Virus.  He reveales to his fellow X-Men that Xavier had a plan for just such an occasion..and he is the one chosen to that plan into action...

Beast sends his wife Cassandra, his daughter Gabrielle, and their team away. The team eventually moving to a mutant friendly state in the West, setting up a place for them to live in secret. 

They leave just in time. 

Mobs of humans, and new sentinals attack the mansion and are somehow able to overwhelm its defenses with ease. They know the X-Men weaknesses, know exactly where, and how to take them out. Thus many of the X-men are killed in the fight and qs their mansion burns to the ground the remaining X-men flee.
Only Rogue, Gambit, Kitty, Wolverine, Colossus, and Peter Wisdom are left uninjured. Jean Grey, Iceman, Marrow, Psylocke, Bishop and Archangel are supposedly dead, missing or captured. As are many of the other superhero teams Gen-X, X-Factor, and X-force...
Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Storm and Magneto are severly injured.
Along the way they pick up other fleeing mutants who join in the exodus.
Now they are slowly trying to rebuild their lives and their team to train, to fight, to answer the burning questions in their minds. Who betrayed the X-Men? Who gave away Xavier's secret and most importantly...who killed Professor-X????
