Ryo is your typical "stands-up-for-the-underdog" type of kid which gets
him into more trouble and kicked out of more schools than his father
would like to see. Therefore his Father has agreed to ship him off to
this American school where he will be around more kids of his type.
Background:
Kurashima Ryosuke is an exchange student from Osaka
Japan. His father is a powerful Yakuza Crimelord--A fact which Ryo is
blissfully unaware. His father has agreed to send Ryosuke to the U.S.
for schooling because of a dangerous situation that has developed back
in Japan concerning rival Yakuza and Ninja societies (Think FMs "The
Hand").
Ryosuke's intention upon coming to America is to be "Super-Action Hero" just like his hero Jackie Chan. In fact Ryo has seen every Jackie Chan movie at least 50 times and has developed a distinct martial arts style that he has obtained from Jackie's movies (Lots of skill levels that depend on chairs, tables, refrigerators, and the like being in close proximity--very effective in a caferteria say). Let's just call this Chan-Fu.
Ryo will instantly try out for the Drama club and Gymnastics to hone his skills. If there is a martial arts class taught at school he will also try to enroll, but will refuse to follow or learn "proper" technique and form -- relying more on his home grown style.
