Greetings! Well, I'm not really sure what to tell ya to make
your lives better. You see, I am a teenager and I'm not aware of the problems
that adults have. Still, I will try to give you some tips.
First of all, you should respect your kids. Give them independence,
even though it's pretty hard. I know you care about your children, you
don't want them to get into trouble, but sometimes you must let them make
their own mistakes. If you have children that are young, buy them something
nice once in a while, but never wait for them to ask you for something!
Try to surprise them, because if you buy the something nice and they will
be surprised by it, it will make the child twice as happy. And you don't
have to buy anything expensive, just something to show them you love them,
and care about them.
If you have teenage kids, you must be especially patient with
them. You must never forget about your childhood, you must remember you
were once a teenager. Don't tell them you don't like their music, don't
tell them to turn it down. And don't buy them clothes they will never wear.
You shouldn't bother them too much because they are busy enough. If you
start bothering them, you might get screamed at, so better not bother them.
You must gain your kid's respect, tell them you are there for
them. And telling them isn't enough, you must prove yourself somehow. do
something to show them you care. I can't tell you what exactly you should
do, I don't have all the answers... you must decide for yourself. But you
must make your teenage son/daughter understand that if they have any problems,
they can come to you for help. If you promise something, keep your word,
don't lie. In other words, gain your children's trust.
Most of you out there work, and are very busy. However, you
must find time to spend with your children. Most teenagers start using
drugs because they feel lonely. They feel their friends are the only people
they can turn to... because parents just don't spend enough time with them.
You should also learn to forgive, that's the most important
thing. If you encounter rudeness, ignore it! If you ignore it, you will
be awarded, if you answer with an insult, you will pay for it. If anyone
does something bad, he/she will pay for it. And you are not the one to
punish them. So just move on with your lives, be happy, think positive
thoughts, send out positive energy, and you will be rewarded.
