WOW!!Just heard some cool news. Associated has taken out an add in the upcoming RCCA Sedan Special that reports they will be announcing the development of their newest car. A TOURING SEDAN
Word is they will be announcing the details on July 4th on the Website. Check it out on Page 67 of the RCCA Special Issue and then on the site on July 4th.
Word from the folks on Trinity Tech Talk that the car has been confirmed but will not likely be available until next year. Look out Losi, Team Ass is on the move.
In other news HPI is rumored to be releasing a PRO version of the RS4 mini in a month or so along with a soon to come RS4 Rally car. Looks like the R/C hobby manufactures have been busy over the winter and it looks like a long hot summer to come.

Well The guys over at HPI have release another Touring Car body. This one is based on the New '98 Hobda Accord. The new shape looks closer to the Dodge Stratus body that has become so popular. HPI has a load of bodies avaiable for most touring cars and this one adds to the list of Awesome HPI stuff available. Watch for it at your LHS soon.
BTW...if you haven't checked out the Factory Tour that webmast Frank Mckinney has placed on the HPI Site, check it out soon, it's really neat.

RCCA has set June 9th to release their Touring Car Special. Last years was worth every penny, and I would expect this years to be just as good if not better.
Some of the expected features are: Product Guides, Step-by-step how-to's, Super setups for your car, Painting and detailing, International trends, and Glow-engine tips. Also look for the Cars of the stars feature of 5 different pro's rides, as well as a Touring Car body guide.
Check it out at your LHS and better newstands everywhere.

Ever wonder why Racecar drivers do that strange zigzag thing with their cars at the beginning of the race? To heat up the tires! Why? Warm rubber has better traction, and it's exactly the same with R/C cars.
It takes a couple of laps to heat a set of touring-car rubber or capped tires enough to soften them for optimum traction, and the process takes even longer in cooler weather and at night. Trinity's purple tire warmers will warm up your tires, so you'll have great traction right from the starting bell.
The warmers were designed according to the same simple principle as those used in Formula 1:
Wrap a warmer connected to a power source (these units operate from 7.2 to 12 volts ) around a tire, and it will make the tire softer and stickier. The warmers are also good for use on speedway cap tires and for drying traction additive on foam tires.

From the R&D team at Associated Electrics comes the most versatile oval racing 10L ever to make a left-hand turn. The new RC10L3 Oval features a host of design innovations that could change the face of oval racing. The 10L3 features an all-carbon graphite chassis with wider battery slots that allow side-to-side adjustment of the battery's position by up to 1/2 inch; in-line axle front steering blocks for quicker steering response; two wheelbase settings to allow shortening of the chassis by 1/4 inch; new Factory Team blue titanium turnbuckles; energy-absorbing foam bumper; and an entirely new rear pod design. The rear pod is a triple-shock setup that eliminates the need for the tweak screws that have been so common on the 10L variants. Two Volume Compensating System (VCS) Micro-Shocks handle the side-to-side damping, while a larger, fully composite VCS Macro-Shock handles the up-and-down damping. The rear pod can be offset 0.275 inch to better handle flat-track racing. The kit, according to Associated, also includes a Team graphite rear axle, clamp-style lightweight rear hubs and Jaco special-compound tires mounted on lightweight composite wheels. A line of specialized high-performance options is also scheduled to be available when the 10L3 is unleashed!
