Psionics Undead Reading (Clairsentient Science) Power Score: Wis -1 Initial Cost: 20 Maintenance Cost: n/a Range: 30 yards Preparation Time: 1 Area of Effect: one undead creature Prerequisites: bone reading Creator: Greg Schick Description: The psionicist can analyze a previously unknown type of undead and sense its strengths and weaknesses. The undead being probed must be within line of sight. If it is man-sized or larger it must be no more than 30 yards away. If the undead creature is smaller than man sized it must be within 20 yards. If it is tiny, it must be within 10 yards. The amount of information gained depends on the psionicist's power check result: Power Check Information Gained 1-2 Classification (spirit, shadow, etc.) 3-4 Deviation from standard weaknesses 5 Primary special ability 6 Secondary special ability 7 Special weaknesses 8+ If controlled, by whom. The information above is cumulative, so a result of 6 yields two of the creatures special abilities, any deviation from the standard undead weaknesses (such as not effected by silver weapons) and the creature's classification. Power Score: The psionicist knows when and where the undead was created. 20: The psionicist reveals himself to the undead. The undead gains +2 to hit on its next attack on the psionicist.
