Maruk Mithrilhammer

History: Maruk is a relatively young (70 years old) mountain dwarf hailing from the mountains of Highland. Although the priesthood didn't run in his family, Maruk felt a strong connection with his god from an early age. His parents encouraged him towards fighting, but his heart was in his religion. After his day's worth of training in fighting arts, Maruk would spend his free time studying theology, particularly the teachings of Moradin, Father of All Dwarves.

Having gained fame as a brave and charismatic dwarf among the dwarves of the mountainous range, Maruk felt his calling was even larger. Setting out by himself, Maruk sought to teach others the true enlightenment of Moradin. Failing to do so in the Selune worshiping land of East Stallshore, Maruk set out for the hub of the world, Saberhaven.

Maruk stayed in Saberhaven for several weeks, visiting the small local temple and preaching to those who would listen in the streets (mostly dwarves). Hoping to find a larger audience, at the suggestion of one cleric from the Saberhaven temple, Maruk decided to adventure and guide a group in trouble. His first stop was a tavern called the Rottin' Corpse, where a group was gathering.

Appearance: Maruk wears custom made field plate armor under a non-descript grey cloak. His brown hair is gnarley but spends most time covered by his Basinet Helm. He carries at all times his blessed warhammer, bestowed upon his through the grace of Moridan, and it never leaves his hand. He carries the Earth Father's holy symbol on all he wears, the hammer and anvil. He also carries a short bow and arrows.
