The Games of Saberhaven
Nhupir the Black vs. Grummash

The psionic dwarf is no dummy. Before this fight he did his homework on his opponent, and he didn't like what he found. The former head of the Association of Problem Eliminators, Saberhaven's fancy name for an assassin's guild, carries a sword which approaches artifact power. Not only does it give the half-orc seevral distructive powers he can use against opponents, but it makes him immune to mental attacks, the bulk of the dwarf's offence. But the mad dwarf has a plan, which he intends to put into action. Nhupir enters in his customary black armor, shield and garb. His clothes are imeccably clean, starched and nearly spotless. His beard is well trimmed, and his skin is pale from so many years under the mountains. Some mistake him at first for a duerger, which adds to his ever-present bad mood. "Damn half-orc," he grumbles as he enters. His hatred for the orc race and its derivatives runs deep. Immediately on annoucnement, he fires up his mental powers. Knowing he cannot attack the mind of the assassin, he instea attacks the body. "What the..." curses Grummash as he fights for ccontrol of his own body. It seems that the strength of the dwarf's mind is stronger than the strength of the half-orc's body. As Nhupir controls the half-orc's body, he also turns himself invisible to Grummash as a precaution. Having full control over the half-orc's body, Nhupir causes him to drop his fantastic sword, thus losing his psionic immunities. That out of the way, the dwarf focuses his mind once again on the half-orc. Pulling out his axe he hurls it at grummash, striking him and killing him. The healing priests come out after Nhupir is declared the winner and find that very little harm was done to Grummash. Mostly, it was all in his mind.
