The Games of Saberhaven
Morann vs. Caledon
Caledon charges the monk-mage with his sword drawn.
Morann, shielded by his enchanted cube, concentrates. After a moment, he begins to rise into the air.
The duelist charges forth still as the monk rises into the air. He pulls forth a horn from his side, puts his lips to it and blasts away. The resulting blast sends a stream of noise at Morann which stuns and deafens him. He falls to the ground, still within his cube.
The duelist runs up to the edge of the cube. He sticks his hand into the cube but it cannot pass. He removes his glove and seems to be able to pass his hand through. He tests his sword and deduces it keeps out non-living matter.
"Stand up and fight like a man!" says the duelist, thowing down his glove. "This is no honorable way to fight." He stands with a grimace on his face.
"More honorable than your horn," replies Morann, getting to his feet. "I require no equipment." With that, he gestures with an open hand towards the duelist, sending a beam of force at the man. The duelist is knocked to the ground, still unable to make way through the cube of force.
Gaining momentum, the force mage fires seven magical missiels at the duelist, all striking right on target. Angered, Caledon begins taking his clothes off in an attempt to move through the cube.
Morann laughs at the duelist. "What are you going to do, pound me with your fists naked?" The force mage lets go another barrage of magic missiles, severely injuring the man. As Caledon strips away the last of his non-organic garments, Morann finishes him off with an acid stream.
Caledon falls to the ground, burned from acid and bruised from the force blasts, naked and unconscious.
