![]() The Games of Saberhaven Delgoth Telva vs. Sir SapphireTears
|
As the day turns cooler and twilight begins to fall upon Saberhaven, another dark elf takes his place in the Arena.
This one, though not evil, is known as a ferocious comeptitor and of late has been watched transform into a demon via
his demonic staff. Delgoth Telva struts forward holding the icky rune covered staff in his left hand. A large hooded cloak covers his back and at his sides hand two swords, daggers and a hand crossbow. His noble opponent is the one and olny Sir SapphireTears, a paladin who favors a bright green colored armor. The holy warrior is strng though not particularly agile. He's won his engagements in his brief stay in Saberhaven and feels confident. At the announcement, the dark elf turns invisible while the paladin pops out of his place. SapphireTears appears a dozen feet away, blinking no doubt in an appemt to confuse his opponent. He stops and listens for the foorsteps of his opponent, but hears nothing. Concerned, he decides to fight fire with fire and turns invicible himslelf. One of the last favortite things of the crowd is invisible fights. A minute goes by and they start to boo and yell. Some clanking form the heavy armor fo the paladin can be heard, and this is what the elf must rely on. Suddenly Delgoth appears flying in the air, diving down in an attack on the paladin. He misses his swing and arches back up into the air. Sir SappireTears reaches out with his sword and swipes at the heels of the elf, catching the back of Delgoth's leg. Both now visible, Delgoth flies high in the air and dives again. The paladin pulls two daggers and launches them, sticking both in the diving elf. Delgtoh swings his demon staff again at the paladin, but looses his grip and drops it a dozen feet from the paladin. Darning his luck, Delgoth lands and pulls forth his quick shortsword and a dagger, moving in to attack. He moves quickly, but not so much as to dodge the sword blow of SapphireTears. The elf manages to stick both blades into the paladin. The dark elf realizes he's to weak to engage in this melee and moves to pick up the staff. He dodges another shot and rolls over tot he staff. Gripping it, he starts the transformation into a Glabezu, a demonic type of creature. The transofrmation seems to heal him somewhat as he gains strength. Undaunted, the paladin swings at the demon one, twice and succeeds in knocking the large creature unconscious. The demon shifts back into an elf and the healing clerics come out to revive him.
