The Games of Saberhaven
Dezveraun vs. Glub

The strange pale skinned dark elf enters the Arena cloaked in dark garments, his icy blue eyes frozen in a penetrating gaze. A blackened drow war helm sits atop his head, while in his hands he holds a bow, rumor says which was fashioned by demons.
Across from him is the grimy half-ogre called Glub, a representative of the mercenary group Flash Command. The half-ogre isn't known for his great tactics, but more for his in-your-face brawling.
The competitors are announced and the battle begins. Dezveraun fires his bow, but before it strikes, the half-ogre activates his ring and telports behind the dark elf. Dezveraun reels about, drops his bow and activates his bracers.
Both warriors move at lightning speed, Dezveraun fighting with dagger and a rune-encrusted elven long blade, while the half-ogre wields a bastard sword in one hand and a short blade in the other.
The elf moves quicker, jabbing the sword and dagger into his opponent. His nicks bleeding now, Glub hammers at Dezveraun, his first strike catching the elf in the gut horribly. Glub pounds four more blows into the elf while Dezveraun can land only one.
Severely damaged, Dezveraun realized he cannot stand toe to toe with the half-ogre else he'll be mashed. She dodges another blade thrust and grabs his amulet. Summoning the magical powers of the elven amulet, he creates a Web on top of the half-ogre. As the Web grows from nothingness, Glub's eyes grow wide and he jumps free of the trapped area, landing next to the elf. Rolling and picking himself up, he finsihes with two sword thrusts tot he weakening elf.
Frantic to sepearate himself from the half-ogre, Dezveraun activates his amulet once again, this time summoning a Wall of Ice between the two of them. Not to be out-clevered by the albino elf, Glub activates his own ring, sending five magic missiles over the cold wall and at the elf. Dezveraun holds forth his sword, which reflects the spell and casts the missiles back on the half-ogre. Glub is hit squarely with all five of his own missiles.
Realizing he cannot afford to cast more spells at Dezveraun, the half-ogre circumvents the ice wall by running around the end and coming back to combat speedily. Swords held forth, Dezveraun meets him, hoping his new plan works. The elf gets the first shot again with his quick sword and manual dexterity. As he hits he activates another power of the sword, which ages his opponent. Glub suddenly shifts from his mid thirties to his mid nineties, losing much of his strangth and endurance to fight.
Even in his decrepit state, Glub knows he's one strike from winning. He swings out, letting the enchanted sword guide his hand and depending on the same sword to deal the death blow. The swing hits the elf squarely in the side, taking what's left from him and rending him unconscious.
Glub staggers away, with some help from a healing cleric. Unless he finds a way to reverse the effects of the aging, he might not fight in the second round.
