![]() The Games of Saberhaven Tak'Nak'Raq vs. Borg of the Icelings
|
The doors slowly open, and the diminutive child-like halfling
Tak'Nak'Raq steps through. While initially the tattooed halfling was taken
as light entertainment by the crowd, his savage ways and feral honor,
combined with his surprising success has generated not inconsiderable
support from the packed stands. Tak' snaps into movement quickly, rushing towards his opponent. Borg turns invisible, not much of a surprise to the halfling. The halfing accelerates the rest of the way and spreads a fine dust in an area where he thinks the Iceling is. He seems concerned that he cannot hear the iceling whatsoever. To Borg's surprise, a portion of his upper arm and right thigh are revealed with the dust. The iceling moves forward with speed exceeding the halfling's. Tak' stops and focuses on the iceling with his mental powers, but Borg disrupts the power with his brutal hand atatcks. The potentially killing blows miss the halfling though, Tak' able to dispalce the attacks of the iceling. Tak', surprised at the speed and power of the icleing, reacts more by instinct than reason, his blades flashing towards his larger opponent, seeking to draw blood and a quick end to this combat. Getting the first jab in, the halfling stick his sword in the Iceling's knee. Borg roars, giving Tak' enough time to plant his dagger in the same leg. The large monk steps back then unleashes with a flurry of punches. The first is redirected by Tak's sword, but the force of the blow keeps him from doin it again. The small one leaps out of the way of the second swing, but runs right into the left hook, which leads into another right and left. Desperate, Tak' reaches into his mind, hoping that he will be able to stop the monk dead in his tracks before his brutal hand attacks can finish the battered halfling. Tak' succeeds in overloading the mind of the Iceling with mental power. Borg collapses, unable to move. The halfling easily finishes off the Iceling before the giant can stand again.
