The Games of Saberhaven
|
The doors open to the Arena and the competitors enter. Today's match
will feature the human fighter Dakkon versus the duelist Caledon. This
will be a fight of skills as these two are both experts with their
weapons. Entering from the left is Dakkon who shows no care for his looks. Weapons cover his body and he smiles at his competitor as he seems to activate some type of cube looking device. Dakkon then quickly draws his crossbow and readies a quarrel. From the other side enters an elegant looking man, he smirks at the disheveled looking human opposing him. "What do you plan on doing against me you pathetic fighter?" His weapons hand in their scabbard and sheath and he bows towards the dirty looking human. Dakkon fires off two quarrels and watches as they fly towards his opponent. The duelist quickly sidesteps to the side snatching the quarrels right out of the air in front of him. He snaps them across his leg while he smiles at the unkept fighter. "Is that the best you can do?" Dakkon snorts at the duelist, "Not even close. The best is yet to come. That is if I even have to use it against you." He walks towards Caledon then sends off two more quarrels at Caledon. Caledon quickly drops to his knees and catches both quarrels, one in each hand, he looks up and smiles once again. "Hmmm, do these belong to you? Oh well." Caledon leaves them on the ground and gets back up, then quickly crushes the quarrels beneath his feet. The duelist takes out a horn-like object then blows through it. A long, loud burst of noice issues forth slamming into what seems a barrier around Dakkon. Dakkon stares at the Caledon, "You should change your name to little boy blue." Suddenly he disappears. Expecting something like this, Caledon takes out a small pouch and a wand. Suddenly the wand starts moving of its own accord and points straight towards where his opponent must be. "Well, what do you know?" Caledon starts to charge the spot throwing some dust out of the pouch which hits the barrier. "So you hide behind a barrier do you?" Caledon quickly takes out his horn once again, at the same time he puts up the two items, and blows on it. It strikes the barrier and the barrier seems to visibly shake. The dust upon the barrier falls down to the ground as Dakkon must have deactivated the barrier surrounding him. The dust falls upon Dakkon and he becomes visible to the audience once again. Dakkon leaps into the air with his scimitars. The warrior points his scimitars downward, diving along with the weapons. Caledon quickly draws his longsword and dagger, and jumps straight up meeting the oncoming foe. The two warriors swing at each other. Dakkon's quicker scimitars prove the better, causing two gashes to Caledon chest. Caledon returns his own attacks knicking the warrior with his dagger across the left arm and stabbing the warrior in the chest with his long swords. Dakkon lands upon the ground rolling to keep most of the impact from hurting and comes up with his weapons ready. Caledon lands back on the ground clutching at his chest with a painful expression. Dakkon quickly moves in for the attack, using his scimitar masterfully, deftly disarming Caledon's dagger. Caledon, looks surprised for a minute then changes his stance and parries Dakkon's next attack. Dakkon using his advantage now swinging once more with his scimitar catching the duelist in the chest and causing another cut to appear, as blood starts to quickly spurt out. Caledon knowing he is in trouble, tries a desperate attack to the fighters neck, but the warrior showing a skill of dexterity springs in the air and does a back flip to land easily back on his feet fifteen feet away from the bleeding duelist. Dakkon moves in and in a stunning display of maneuvers, Caledon's longsword is flung from his hand. Dakkon uses the advantage and swings his longsword twice. Caledon rolls for his sword but is caught once in the back and then Dakkon's second attack slices across his throat. Caledon falls to the ground with a short moan. The wounds upon Dakkon's body slowly close and renew themselves as a healthy Dakkon leaves the Arena. The priests run into the field taking Caledon's body off the field.
