Ramses Dehellified vs. Orellwyn
Ramses, the fighter cum mage cum mentalist, holds a considerable advantage with his magical and mind powers. But none of that matters as the gladiators take the field.
Orellwyn flies in with his winged boots, surrounded by five mirroring images of hismelf, bow strung and directly up into the air. He fires his bow rapidly, six times in all, before hardly an eye could be blinked. Dozens of arrows fly at ramses. The man stands calmly, casting a spell, oblivious to the missiles flying towards him.
As the arrows get within a few feet of the psi-mage, they suddenly seem to hit a pocket of "thick air", slowing their forward movement, enough to cause them to drop to the ground. The illusionary ones disappear.
As sudden as the arrows drop, Ramses unleashes a Fireball at the archer. The firey explosion knocks the elf off his mark. He catches his balance and straightens up. Realizing the mental powers will keep his arrows from ever reachin their mark, the elf comes up with a different strategy.
Pulling a special arrow from one of his two magical quivers, he fires the arrow into the ground a dozen feet in front of Ramses. The ground explodes into an earthquakes, the rublings being felt into the stands. the ground opens up under ramses, in a section a bit bigger than 20 by 20 yards. Suddenly the mage is swollowed up.
The crowd is somewhat stunned by the mercilessness of the good elf. Soon though they cheer. Orellwyn looks unhappy with himself and flies off the field.
