![]() The Games of Saberhaven Noerdaxinanis vs. Koobon
|
Some fights are just about pure power. The crowds love them. This fight could be categorized in that way: the gorillian Noerdaxinanis, whose sheer strength amazes all, versus the ever skillful centaur gladiator slave called Koobon. The doors open with Noerdax flying forth on his carpet of flying, playing his drums loudly. Koobon steps into the Arena, bow drawn and fires an arrow at the gorillian fighter. The missile zooms past, the centaur fooled by the displaced Noerdax. Noerdax flies closer, still playing his drums. Koobon resists tha magical fear effects of the drums and fires another arrow, this one sticking in the left side of the gorillian. As Noerdax gets closer, Koobon fires a wild shot, arching high up and coming notoriously close to the gorillian. As Noerdax watches the arrow so it doesn't hit him, the centaur takes the opportunity to fire a direct shot at him, stciking another missile in him. Within about 50 feet, Noerdax stops, puts his drums to his side and grabs the hammer of thunderbolts form in front of him. As per usual, he winds up the huge thing and tosses it with all his might at the centaur's broad side. Koobon fires another arrow while Noerdax goes through his process, and hits. he tries again to fire, but stumbles on some loose dirt and barely manages to catch himself. As he look sup, the hammer comes hurtling at him, slamming into his chest with a loud "Boom!" and knocking him to the ground, stunned, from the shockwave. Noerdaxinanis screams a mighty battle cry and rushes forward. he jumps on the centaur's torso, slamming his warhammer into the neat's body twice. The centuar recovers and starts to stand. The gorillian sweeps his hammer down at the centaur, catching him under the chin with the head of the weapon. Koobom leaps straight up and catches the primatian in the head with his morning star. He rears all the way back and clomp sboth front hoove son the giant beast, striking once. Coming down, he smashes his other morning star on the top of Noerdax's shoulder. Noerdax roars with rage and smashes his hammer into the centaur's flank. Koobon returns the blow, drawing blood with the spiked morning star in his right hand. Noerdax, in a weakened state, throws an all out blast at the head of the centaur. Hoping by a chance upon chances to end it all, he puts his back into it, smashing into his jaw with an audible "crack!" The centaur, though weakened, doesn't fall, and instead lashes out with his own sword, slicing into the near-dead gorillian, and rending him unconscious. As the big creature hits the ground, the gladiator slave makes sure to remove the rings, ioun stones, neclances and other items from his competitor, worried that Noerdax might regenerate and return to consciousness.
