The Games of Saberhaven
Grummash vs. Gunnar Overdark

Casually making their way into the Arena, Gunnar and Grummash wave to the crowd. The crowd responds well to the half-orc, a savage veteran Arena warrior.
Squaring off, still over 100 yeard apart, Gunnar moves closer still and foces his mind energy to reach out and punch the assassin. Grummash's shoulder moves back a bit, as if the mul were picking a fight with him from across the battle area.
"I have a present for you Gunnaaar!" hollars the half-orc, waving his sword in the air. The assassin moves closer still to the tatoo and scar covered mul. Suddenly he blinks invisible.
Counting on his current displacement to protect him a little, Gunnar draws his vorpal sword and a throwing dagger and tries to use his already heightened senses to locate the half orc and attack.
Gunnar carefully moves in a slow circle, readying himself for the attack. The half-orc appears behind the mul with a cheer from the crowd, sticking his sword into his opponant's side with a smile on his face.
The mul spins and attacks, first with his longsword to the assassin's head, then with two swift dagger cuts to Grummash's mid-section.
The half orc laughs when the mul realizes the metal blades of the weapons passed through him without much effect. Hardly any blood falls from the wounds of the assassin.
Gunnar disappears from sight to the jeers of the crowd. Grummash searches for him, a wry smile arising on his face as he falls vistim to the same trap as he just laid.
Over sixty seconds pass before the attack is sprung. The assassin is somewhat anxious when the mul appears. Gunnar's sword comes down on the sword arm of Grummash, but does only minor damage.
Acting quickly, Gunnar sends a brutal uppercut to the chin of the half-orc, surly a death blow, but somehow it barely scrathes him.
Grummash turns and strieks at the right flank of the mul then steps back and defends against two more blows which have llittle effect.
Gunnar springs away, 20 feet from Grummash. He focuses his mental powers on the assassin, but his powers fail to take effect.
Meanwhile, the half-orc puts up a Shiled spell.
The mul teleports behind the assassin about 20 yards. Tired of the bouncing around, Grummash runs towards the mul. Gunnar focuses his mental energy once again, but fails to produce any visible effect.
The mul briefly looks stunned, but shakes his head and recovers.
The half-orc swings and misses the mul with his sword.
Gunnar, visibly frustrated, relies on his psionic powers one last time to bail him out. Gunnar focuses and then casts his disintegrate at Grummash one last time before readying his sword and dagger to attack.
Finally able to use his mind power, the mul tries to destroy the assassin utterly. The half-orc manages to resist, however, but growls as the mul dodges his swings with the sword.
Gunnar jumps backward again and throws 3 daggers at the orc, not wishing to be within reach of the assasin's sword again.
The daggers all three hit.The half orc makes chase after the mul.
Gunnar Levitates into the air out of range and attempts to Detonate Grummash's sword.
The sword shimmys, but resists due to its inherent magic. The assassin turns invisible.
Still not seeing the invisible man, Gunnar focuses his mental energy to telekinese his daggers up to him.
Suddenly, a light green beam of light shoots forth from the half-orc's sword at the mul. As Grummash becomes visible, the light stirkes the psionicist, knocking him out and sending him plummeting to the ground.
The half-orc laughs and then places one foot atop the mul, holding his hands up triumphantly.
