JRTM is a role playing game based on the admirable work of J.R.R. Tolkien. He described in his books, especialy in The Lord of The Rings and The Simarillon, an imaginary world where humans, elves, hobbits, dwarves, ... live together : everything you find in a standard heroic fantasy world. But he gave this world a very well documented history, a set of gods, legends, ...
The RPG uses this work and offers the players to have theirs caracters wander in this fantastic world.
Rolemaster is mainly a system of play, it does not have or describe a world to play in. One can see it like an extension to JRTM, because it makes it possible to play characters of levels higher than 10 and brings additions to the rules. But in fact there is a world which was created to use the rules of Rolemaster: ShadowWorld!

Vampire the Masquerade is a RPG radically different from the two precedents. Indeed the players are brought to take the role of vampires in the current world. Yes you read well! Our world is infested vampires, and to believe the number of extensions of it that White Wolf edited for Vampire, they are numerous! (not counting the other small beasts described in the modules that White Wolf publishes almost each month: WereWolf, Wraith...). Enough criticized White Wolf. It should be recognized that Vampire is a game with simple but effective rules and who is pleasant to play. There is another version of Vampire : Vampire the Dark Ages.
