Heaven's Angel

Note: This poem is dedicated to GnatGirl

I saw you
Standing there today
I thought
About talking to you
But you probably wouldn't listen
To a guy like me
Your thin red lips
Allowing such treasures from Heaven
To be brought onto the earth
My hands tremble
Nearly dropping my books
My head turns
My eyes close
They were never meant
To gaze upon such
A wondrous angel of beauty
I turn my head around
And open my eyes
But if I were never meant
To gaze upon such an angel
Then why are you here
Perhaps I could ask
Just one question
But would you laugh at me
I would never know until I tried
So I approached you
Knees shaking fiercely
My hand touches your shoulder
You turn around
Your long auburn hair
Flying against your shoulder
Heaven's blue eyes gaze
Upon my trembling figure
You speak
Asking about me
My ears vibrate
From the angelic voice
In a blur
I answer yet with a question
You laughs
I tremble again
You laughed at me
Your eyes told all that need to be said
Your lips move to present
The purest white of teeth
As you responds with
"Yes"
