Birthplace:
Father's Name: Onier

Physical Description: Intense blue eyes, almost turquiose in hue, are the first thing anyone ever notices about M'gon. He has craggy features, not ugly but well-worn, and silver hair that he keeps out of his face. Thin lips and a wide mouth given to smiling soften his face. He is slim but he's cut back on the wine since his retirement to remain that way. His forearms are scarred with burns from a bad manuver in the Games long ago, but he has escaped heavy scoring due to a combination of luck and Tirunedeth's skill. The worst score is down his left leg, from mid-thigh to ankle, but he has no limp except in cold weather.

Personality: M'gon is your typical blue rider: genial, companionable, sensual. However, he is not loud and boisterous as many blue riders are, but he does not hold his tongue either when he feels a word is in order. He enjoys a good game of cards, long talks with intimate friends, and is always willing to make a wager, especially when he knows he'll win.

Life Story: Born on the 15th day of the 3rd month 62 Turns ago to Oneir and Malertia, Morgon quickly found that he was neither loved nor wanted. Somehow, he inherited from his unimaginative and spectacularly dull parents a quick wit, a love of creativity and a sense of compassion for his fellow humans - and of course, a reverence for all of dragonkind. Not surprisingly, he also inherited their strong work ethic, so until he was old enough to escape, he threw himself into his chores at the Hold his parents lived and worked at. At 11, he managed to catch the eye of a weaver looking for apprentices, and ran away to follow the weaver to the Hall. His parents did not give chase at the time, not caring whether he was there or not, as long as they didn't have to feed the boy any more. The escape was not without its advantages, but the main one came in the form of a great surprise: a dragon Searched him at the Hall shortly after he, Morgon, arrived there. Five months and a birthing day later, he stood the sands and Impressed the first dragon of his clutch, the beautiful and radiant Tirunedeth.

Tirunedeth and M'gon quickly made a name for themselves in the games, and when Thread began falling once again, already a mature pair and ready for action, they proved themselves able to the task. Their experienced outlook aided the younger riders, even though both young and older riders alike were facing Thread for the first time - M'gon was only 27, hardly old, but they had been "fighting Thread" for 15 Turns.

M'gon and Tirunedeth stopped fighting Thread two Turns ago, and after helplessly watching friends and former wingmates get maimed or get killed while they stayed on the ground, they have decided to retire to the more temperate and far away Thread's End. While they know they cannot be assigned to a fighting wing, M'gon hopes they will be able to aid the Weyr in some way. The rider has taken up weaving to make himself useful, but has been considering returning to his former duties as a weyrling master.

Dragon's Name : Tirunedeth
Dragon's Colour : Blue
Dragon's Age : 50
Sire and Dam : Gold Acorth and Bronze Imajicath
Age of Rider at Impression : 12

Dragon's Description : Tirunedeth is trim and agile, but not as when he was younger. Two Turns ago, he missed a clump and almost killed a rider as a result. He has not forgotten this terrible mistake, despite most dragons' short memories. He is a deep shade of blue, the color of the ocean far from land, with scores along his left shoulder and flank. His muzzle is a lighter blue, and there is a streak of almost green at the base of his tale that surprisingly matches M'gon's eyes. His inner left sail is heavily scored, and hampers his endurance and aerial dexterity.

Dragon's Personality : Dry and witty, Tirunedeth is a droll companion to the amiable M'gon. He is a little odd - he loves music, and has been known to poke his head in any opening he can find in order to listen in on harpers and weyrsingers alike. He doesn't seem to notice that he causes a ruckus that way.
