Akela's Flaw Traits at The Brave and the Bold

ALIEN
Akela is by many definitions of the term an illegal alien. She currently has no legal status or rights in America (or anywhere else on the planet for that case). This will interfere in dealing with government officials and employees as well as anything else that requires offical documentation of identity.

CLONE
Akela is a clone and as such, certain scientific (and possibly magical as well) procedures are capable of detecting her as an artificial being (but it should be noted that she does have a soul). Additionally, there are diseases that have been made that are specifically tailored to affect clones and these would affect her.

FEAR OF DARKNESS
Growing up in Skartaris, a world of constant sunlight, and having to go into a tent lined with dark furs and fabrics to find darkness to sleep in (and even then light would be visible at the edges if you looked for it) did little to prepare Akela for darkness. Because of this, she has a mild fear of darkness, as is common for people facing the strange and unaccustomed. Being in darkness will not quite cripple her, but it does pose a serious problem for her, as she becomes jumpier and prone to seeing things coming at her where she cannot really see anything at all. Acclimation over time may allow her to overcome most, if not all, of these problems, but only time will tell.

LOOKS YOUNG
Akela looks like a girl under the age of twenty-one. While this is not overly detrimental in Skartaris, on Earth minors are denied certain rights that a woman over a hundred takes for granted, like the right to toss back a beer when she wants to for example.

MAGIC DETECTION
Akela carries a number of magical items that anyone with the ability to detect magic can sense. They range from weak auras (her ring) to intensely strong (her rune swords) but combined she ends up shining like a beacon to magical sight when she is carrying them. It should be noted, however, that the swords show as a pair of faint motes orbiting her head when in their storage dimension, and her armor's aura is not visible when it is stored by her ring, making her much less noticable (although still shining compared to most areas of Earth) in such a state.

PRIVATE
Akela is a friendly person but despite this she hides her inner self from the world around her until she has built up enough trust in the other person where she does not feel threatened by opening up to them. Because of this she seems distant and haughty, making it harder for her to earn other people's trust.

SHAMELESS
Akela is barely possessed of a sense of propriety. She understands that there are rules about what is and is not proper in a society between men and women, but she just doesn't understand those rules. This can lead to things like disrobing to swim and not being concerned about who is around or unwanted levels of public affection being displayed. This can lead to her embarrassing people she cares for or even getting in trouble for breaking nudity laws where they exist.

TECHNICALLY ILLITERATE
While Akela knows how to read the written forms of the languages she learned in Skartaris, she does not know any terrestrial Earth languages at all. While she knows a corrupted form of Atlantean which would allow her to read the writings in the undersea nations of her long distant cousins she is not able to read any of the signs or writings of the land-dwelling people in the world she is exploring.

TECHNOLOGICALLY BACKWARD
Akela has no direct experience with modern day techology despite having interacted with a computer controlled Atlantean base. Her current level of technological background ends at the horizontal loom and windmills.

From having spent time with Jennifer Morgan (see Contacts), Akela knows a smattering about technology on Earth. She knows enough not to be startled by automobiles (horseless chariots) and the ringing of telephones. Jennifer tried to explain other aspects of technology, but without examples it was difficult for Akela to learn much from her.
