Hester & Kira,
It's just my opinion, but as an American and a resident of Pennsylvania (right in the middle of all the tragedy) I don't think you should hold off updating the index. That would just be another thing the terrorists would have won - making you hold off when you don't want to and we don't want you too. So much else has been disrupted here that even this one limited thing would mean a lot. Besides, right now new stories would help us escape reality if only for a little while. It would be a blessing to have these stories to read rather than listen to the tragic news over and over. This country is fighting to return to normal and in order to do so we can't let the terrorists stop our way of life, which they managed to do yesterday.

Please reconsider as I, for one, would appreciate some new stories right now. All this tragedy really has me down.

By the way, the blackout page is a nice tribute. Thanks.
