The Duke, who actually knew what was going on, proceeded to official tell Erendil and Edward to get the hell out of the duchy by sundown or else.
Meanwhile, Pensius receives a visit from Child Protective Services. Seems they had a complaint about the care of the children under his guardianship. Pensius manages to sooth their fears and send them away.
Jenny investigates the strange murders happening about town. She talks to Anastasia, who uses her tarot cards to give her some clues about a being she labels "Death" who wears black leather, dark sunglasses, and drive a white Mustang convertible. Jenny doesn't get too many other leads, but does determine that the killings appear to happen at somewhat regular intervals. Some have happened to the east, west, and south of Hillcrest, but most have been concentrated in the Uptown area. Jenny gets a tip to check out Perspectives, a mage bar in Hillcrest.
Erendil and Edward head downtown and try to get into Moria. Edward is getting very uncomfortable due to the geas he is under to deliver the mirror to Black Annis. They get Little Alex to meet them after asking Chanterelle at Café Mortitia's to be in intermediary for them. Little Alex agrees to help them after they give him his gun back. He leads them into Moria by an entrance they have not seen before: a tunnel from the back bar area of the Continental Room of the Hotel San Diego. The tunnel leads to the front entrance. As they pass the main corridor Edward notices a strange, musty smell, slightly reptilian in nature. They reach the main cavern of Moria and find that it is even nastier than before. They notice some strange half-rat, half boggan looking creatures scavenging around and observe that there are even more unseelie types hanging around than there were before. They are presented to Black Annis, who graciously accepts the mirror from Edward. She takes a "special" liking to the handsome Erendil and agrees to give them sanctuary.

Two earrings which, when activated, will relay about 5 minutes of conversation/background noise to receipient 3 x per day. Erendil has one earring, Jenny the other.
Sword for Erendil that makes him a little more accurate (+1 to hit), hit a little harder (+1 damage), and resist cantrips a bit better (+1 willpower for this purpose only). Edward can have one too if he wants.
Invisibility powder Edward can sprinkle on his clothes and turn inside out. Gives Stealth 5.
Also, Edward has the paper airplane that can send messages to and from others, the Barbie doll head, and his mysterious pendant.
