The Reluctant Heiress
Sir Pensius and Mel visited the Isher Weapons Collective in National City.
The collective is run by an unseelie grump female nocker named Boom-Boom, with muscle
provided by her not-too-bright henchman, a seelie (we said he isn't very bright)
troll named Simon. Boom-Boom told them that Little Alex, a sluagh childling who is
a frequent customer of hers, hangs out with Ariel and has been hinting that there
are plans in the works for her. Little Alex works for Black Annis, a cannibal hag
rumored to control the unseelie underground refuge know as Moria. Moria may be reachable
through the Museum of Death, a Euthanatos-run attraction of the Gaslamp Quarter.
Socrates, Mel's rat, had in the meantime been getting into trouble in the weapons
shop, eating green glowing things he probably will regret later.
Pensius, Mel, and Socrates went to the nightclub Elysian Fields, a satyr-run establishment
located in the old Pernicano's building on 5th Ave. in Hillcrest. Felix, the satyr
owner of the place, confirmed some of what they have already heard about Little Alex,
and also told them that there have been several mysterious disappearance of local
changelings, including the sidhe guitarist for the house band, named Aeric. Socrates
was beginning to regret that he swallowed the green, glowing stuff at the Weapons
Shop and started acting up. Pensius had the bartender slip a mickey into the rat's
drink (he's over the legal drinking age in rat years) which put Socrates down for
the count. A mysterious sidhe named Lorien stopped by their table to warn them about
Tormentil; apparently, Tormentil belongs to a secret society of seelie nobles called
the Beltaine Blade. This group is rumored to be dedicated to the elimination of the
Unseelie fae and the subjugation of the commoners. Lorien said he might be around
later.
In the meantime, Edward and Toby checked out the Museum of Death in the Gaslamp Quarter.
They talked to Jack, the Euthanatos mage who runs the place, who agreed to let them
into Moria if Edward brought him some "really good stuff". Edward and Toby
went back to the Temple, stopping on the way for some creative pranks that involved
chewing off the top of a fire hydrant, cops, donuts, and beer. That evening Edward
gathered some locally grown peyote to trade to Jack (Secret
History #1) (as well as some for himself) while Jenny spent the evening
trying (and failing) to seduce Franklin, Pensius's troll retainer. Her efforts included
everything from sitting so he could see her absence of undies (my, the ceiling is
fascinating in here, says Franklin) to crying on his shoulder over her recent breakup,
to sneaking into his room after dark. Alas, none suceeded. (Secret

1. The terrifying prospect of Toby finding and eating Edward's
peyote stash came up, and Allison said, " Toby eat pretty colors!" Bill
added "Toby would chew a hole in the space-time continuum!"
2. Janet said, "To resist Jenny, Franklin rolls Wits plus..."
and Allison added "the length of the brass rod up his ass!". Jim said,
"You're in trouble -- he's tall."
Teasing Allison for Jenny's complete and total failure to get into Franklin's
pants, Jim said, "Franklin has an unusal Flaw: Eshew Eshu".
